Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission mated to a mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine, this 2007 Porsche 987 Cayman S is finished in Black over a matching leather interior. It was factory-optioned with heated power-operated seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Preferred Package Plus, and the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package. Purchased by the seller, its second owner, in 2023, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction with approximately 7k miles showing on the odometer.
This 987 is finished in Black and can be identified as an “S” model by its red-painted brake calipers, silver rear model designation, and dual center-mounted exhaust tips. Equipment includes optional bi-xenon headlights, headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, rain-sensing wipers, side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and 18” Cayman S wheels dressed in 2020 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The seller adds that the tires have less than 1k miles on them. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black leather interior features optional heated and power-adjustable seats, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, silver-colored trim pieces, and black Porsche-branded carpet floor mats. Accessories include driver seat position memory, auto-dimming mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, a remote central locking system, the Bose High-End Sound Package, a remote 6-disc CD changer, and a Porsche CDR23 stereo.
Rated at 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque, the mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transaxle sending power to the rear wheels. Standard equipment includes Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and fixed 4-piston brakes with cross-drilled rotors at each corner. A brake fluid flush was performed in August 2024 and the CARFAX report shows an oil service was performed during a pre-purchase inspection in December 2023.
This sale will include a car cover, a battery charger, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "This may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have a Porsche like this one, as close to new 17 years later. The car has been garaged since new. Very well preserved."

@snailwithnotail Pre purchase inspection was for the health of cayman. I wanted my mechanic to review and make any recommendations of work necessary. This was for me personally. I will look for the paperwork.
Could you post the pre-purchase inspection report from December 2023? Also, what's the reason for the ~ 9-month wait before the sale (unless you tried selling this before)?
@AeroSmith Title in hand and trickle charger is included.

Car is 100% original and unmolested.
For what it’s worth, the incident of IMSB failure in this generation engines (987.1) is less than 1% and it’s not serviceable anyway without tearing the engine down. It’s just not an issue.
Really nice example . Has the IMS been updated ?
