The second-generation Super Duty debuted for the model year 2008 and featured an all-new 6.4L Powerstroke Deisel engine. This two-owner 2008 F-450 Super Duty Lariat comes finished in Vermillion Red over a Camel leather interior and was acquired by the seller in 2008. It has since been treated to a host of upgrades including a Magnaflow downpipe, an upgrade front sway bar, electric side steps, 24” Accuride wheels, a power tonneau cover, a custom stereo, a suspension lift kit, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Califonia while showing just under 24k miles on its odometer.
This Super Duty comes finished in Vermillion Red (F1) and has been rebadged as an F-550. Features include a Snuglid SL power-operated tonneau cover, a Rapid Hitch receiver, a locking tailgate, fog lights, a sliding rear window, and a set of chrome 24” Accuride wheels. The wheels come dressed in a set of Kumho Road Venture mud terrain tires. The seller notes that the tonneau cover needs a small area welded near the lock. For the second generation of the Super Duty was completely redesigned, with a new instrument cluster, as well as a new steering wheel, center dash bezel, interior door panels, and seat trim. This example features heated and power-adjustable front captain’s chairs trimmed in camel leather along with woodgrain trim on the dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, driver seat position memory, a 60/40 folding rear bench, power windows and locks, a sunroof, power retracting side mirrors, a trailer brake controller, rubber floor mats, and a Kenwood DDX5707S radio head unit with a DVD receiver and backup camera.
Power comes from a 6.4L Power Stroke diesel V8 engine with sequential turbocharging generating a reported output of 390 HP and 675 lb.-ft of torque. The rear or all four wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed Torqshift automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The suspension has been upgraded with a lift, Fabtech steering stabilizers, Race Runner 3.0 Series front dampers, and Doetsch Systems rear dampers. A Magnaflow 5” downpipe has also been fitted. The seller notes that under their care preventative service has been carried out by certified Ford mechanics or the dealer.
