Drawing inspiration from the company’s DTM (German Touring Car Championship) CLK race car, the Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series is a limited-production high-performance model powered by a 6.2-liter M156 V8 engine. Compared to the standard CLK63 AMG, the Black Series features wide carbon fiber fender flares, adjustable AMG coilover suspension, and 19” forged aluminum wheels. This 2008 example is finished in Black over a matching Nappa leather upholstery. It comes equipped with a 7-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, a limited-slip differential, bi-xenon headlamps, carbon fiber interior trim, sport seats, a flat bottom AMG leather steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless-Go, and a COMAND infotainment system. Originally sold from Mercedes-Benz of St. Louis, Missouri, this rare CLK63 AMG Black Series is now being offered for auction out of Colorado with approximately 48k miles showing on the odometer.
The CLK63 AMG Black Series is characterized by its DTM-inspired carbon fiber fender flares, front fender vents, bumpers, rear diffuser, and trunk lid spoiler. This example is finished in Black (040U) and equipped with bi-xenon headlamps, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, “6.3 AMG” fender badges, polished quad exhaust tips, silver AMG-branded brake calipers, and polished 19” AMG forged aluminum wheels. The seller notes clear paint protection film is applied to the front end. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The two-seater black Nappa leather interior is accented by carbon fiber trim pieces. Accessories include power-adjustable sport seats, a flat-bottom multifunction leather steering, carbon fiber Black Series door sills, carbon fiber shift paddles, aluminum pedals, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, Keyless-Go entry, a Harman/Kardon sound system, and a COMAND infotainment system with navigation. The seller notes a crack on the ashtray lid.
Rated at 500 HP and 465 lb.-ft of torque, the hand-assembled 6.2-liter M156 V8 engine drives the rear wheels through a 7-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The Black Series comes with an AMG Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and manually adjustable AMG coilover suspension. The seller notes the transmission fluid was flushed in 2021 and services performed in 2023 included an oil change, fuel pump replacement, and a brake fluid flush. The CARFAX report also shows a maintenance inspection completed by a Mercedes-Benz dealer in October 2024.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The car is as nice as one with half the miles. A very nice, unmodified example that was actually driven.”
