Up for auction is this low-mileage 2008 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet. Combining ferocious performance with daily driveability, the 997 has become a coveted model among many enthusiasts. This 1-owner example is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic along with a Sand Beige leather interior that features a six-speed manual transmission. This car has been owned since new by the previous owner, and the pride of ownership is reflected in the cars’ pristine condition. It is now being offered out of Arizona in excellent condition with 31k miles showing on the odometer.
The seller states the Midnight Blue Metallic paint to be all-original and in excellent condition. The soft top is optioned in Metropol Blue cloth and is reported to be in like-new condition. The exterior of this car truly gleams and highlights the intoxicating metal work of the rear haunches, deck lid, and flared arches that define the 997 generation. Unique to the Cabriolet, the rear tail is slightly elevated compared to the coupe version, which gives this example a distinct and sporty silhouette. Currently installed are a set of 19” Porsche Carrera Sport wheels that wear Michelin Pilot tires.

Thank You - this was a transition year. I had the exact car only it was a 2005 first generation 997.1 with the updated IMS bearing. Some of the early 997.1's had the smaller older bearing.
@dietzmas77 production is 03/08. No IMS work has been done. Inspection report is excellent.
@dietzmas77 yes, I have the original air box.
@paulstokle @paulstokle, yes, a few curbed spots. Nothing major which is why I chose not to address them. Also, the one tire has a couple spots, as noted in the inspection report. The tires, being from 2010, might want to be budgeted in.
Do you know if this is an early or late 2008 and if this engine still has the IMS bearing
The air filter does not appear to be OEM Has it been replaced - if so do you have the OEM filter box.
Have the wheels been curbed? It looks like they may have from the pics and there appears to be a couple of divots in one of the tires. Always hard to tell from the pictures. Please advise on this.

I did go ahead with all of those items.
@brudomen this is a one local owner car who serviced the car regularly. In the early years of this cars life it wasn't as common practice to report service work on Carfax as it is today. I will be posting the inspection report today. Very clean car with an excellent bill of health.

The service history on the carfax is missing for the first 25K miles. Should that be a cause for concern?
I do not see in service records where the typical bearing (leak problem) has been addressed
