Up for auction is this outstanding 2008 Boxster S RS 60 Spyder edition finished in GT Silver Metallic over a red natural leather interior.  Representing #0024 out of only 1,960 examples, this RS 60 edition commemorates the legendary Type 718 RS 60 Spyder that achieved an overall victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1960.  Highlighting custom factory interior and exterior features, this limited-edition Boxster S shows under 7k well-documented miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction in excellent overall condition by a seller in Phoenix, AZ.

This Boxster S is finished in GT Silver Metallic, a mandated color specification on all RS 60 editions.  Exterior features include an enhanced Sport Design front bumper, full red taillight lenses and a black windshield surround.  An incredibly well-presented car, all paint is believed to be original and in exceptional condition.  This Boxster rides on factory 19” Sport Design wheels which come wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE050a tires.  The power-operated convertible top frame and control unit were repaired earlier this year by Patrick Motorsports in Arizona, and it is stated to be fully functional at this time.

Inside, you will find a red full natural leather interior that showcases several exclusive design features.  The driver is greeted by stainless-steel door sills that are etched with RS 60 Spyder designations.  The seatbelts are finished in silver and on the glove box, a numbered plaque proudly displays this car’s unique production number of #0024/1,960.  Another interesting feature is the exposed instrument cluster, a nod to the utilitarian gauges found in vintage race cars.  The seller has indicated that the interior remains in excellent condition with all electronics and accessories in working order.  Accompanied by an original window sticker totaling just under $70k, this Boxster S is equipped with the following factory options:

This Boxster RS 60 edition carries a mid-mounted 3.4 L flat-six engine that has an increased output of 303 HP thanks to a specially tuned sport exhaust system.  Power is delivered to the rear wheels by way of a smooth 6-speed manual transmission putting the driver in total control.  Adjustable Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) comes standard on this special edition as well as wheel spacers which not only provides better handling, but also improves this car’s stance.  Shortly after acquiring the car earlier this year, the seller had a full service performed including an inspection, oil change and serpentine belt replacement.  The seller has indicated that this Boxster S remains in great driving condition.
