Up for auction this limited-edition 2008 Porsche 987 Boxster S finished in Carrara White over a Black and Stone-Grey full leather interior. Spec'd with the coveted Design Edition 2 package, this Boxster S is part of a limited production run of only 500 vehicles worldwide, and one of only 32 that were delivered to the US. This Design Edition 2 features an upgraded and more powerful 303HP 3.4L flat-six engine, 19” Sport Design wheels, and other eye-catching cosmetic details including grey Porsche racing stripes running the length of the body. Purchased from Jim Ellis Porsche of Atlanta, this rare and collectible Boxster S is now being offered in excellent condition by the seller in Louisville, KY.
The Carrara White exterior of this Boxster is said to be in excellent all-original condition. Detailed images of the exterior are available in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings. The unique Porsche design racing stripes flow along the top of the car and signify to onlookers that this is no ordinary Boxster. Paint protection film has been applied to the entire front of the car giving the next owner peace of mind. This Boxster rides on 19” Sport Design wheels that come wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact tires 2 with a great amount of tread life remaining. The car is complete with a Stone-Grey power folding roof which is reported to be in working condition.
Inside, you will find an exclusive two-tone stone grey and black supple leather interior that features a color-matched Carrera white center console, Alcantara accenting, and a plaque on the glove compartment commemorating this example as #137 of 500 Design Edition 2 cars. Power comes from a mid-mounted 3.4L flat-six engine which sends power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transaxle. This potent engine produces approximately 303HP, an increase over the standard Boxster S. At a mere 2987 lbs, the driver is sure to feel the additional power and near perfect weight distribution. @86convdrvr My experience with the car is that it always draws attention and positive comments particularly at car shows. With only 32 in the US very few people have actually seen this particular car.
After seeing so many Boxsters at various Porsche events and in day to day life, I must say I have known this exists but never seen one in person. Definitely a nice conversation piece. GLWTA
