Up for auction is this uncompromising 2008 Porsche Cayman S racecar. Starting life out as a standard ’08 example, this Cayman S has been stripped down to bare necessities and equipped with a brand-new Tiger Motorsports built 3.6L engine. Outfitted with top-of-the line performance upgrades and racing equipment, this Cayman S is the perfect choice for any serious motorsport enthusiast.
This Cayman S is finished in Carrara White with a custom vinyl racing livery. The seller notes the exterior to be in great condition. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Exterior modifications include a JJ carbon fiber rear wing as well as a lightweight composite front hood. This Cayman rides on “track” wheels which are currently wrapped Michelin Pilot Sport tires. OEM 19” Sport Design wheels will also be included in-sale.
Inside, the driver is situated in a track-oriented lightweight interior with an HTR racing seat. This Cayman’s factory equipped natural brown leather interior has been all but removed with the exception of the original shifter. Modifications include an OMP quick release steering wheel, an HTR harness, a lightweight composite dashboard and a full Cup Cage that meets or exceeds all racing compliance standards. The seller confirms that all critical electrical systems and gauges are fully functional and that the original seats will be provided with the car.
This Cayman S is equipped with a freshly built mid-mounted 3.6L Tiger Motorsports engine which has been mated to an upgraded 6-speed manual transmission. Pheil motorsports was commissioned to install the following performance upgrades.
The 3.6L Tiger Motorsports engine is stated to show approximately 300 miles. Having only seen 6 hours of use at Sebring International Raceway since the completion of the build, this Cayman is reported to be in excellent driving condition. It has been noted that this car can be made street legal with the installation of a horn.
The sale of the track-going Cayman S will include some original parts, two sets of keys, owner’s manuals, and a collection of service records and invoices. Since this vehicle started life as a street car, it will be sold with a clear title (rather than the customary bill of sale commonly used for race vehicles). The tool of choice for avid racing drivers around the world, the Cayman is a tried and true platform. Whether you’re looking to take your competitive driving to the next level, or you simply crave the authentic racecar experience, this custom built 2008 Cayman S makes a great opportunity.

@badboss 25k for a suspension? You mean more like $7k installed... Where you quoting numbers.
@countryclubfl this would absolutely be an incredible deal if the car was finished. unfortunately the car has a long way to go with suspension if you want to make this a class car and want to race. I would guess another 25k to spend. I think the bid value is fair and this looks like its currently limited to being an exceptionally fun DE car. interested to see what happens in the tank!
@countryclubfl yeah but unfortunately. No one wants to pony up

I see the Ala. Barber tag but I don't ever recall seeing this car at PCA D.E.s there. Do you have Barber lap times? To sell a race car you need to post a complete list of mods. What PCA class would this be legal in?
@davisjrjr there is maybe 10 hours of track time on it for HPDE. No track times. It was built and ordered a new car before it was finished. Can track in either
Does it have a racing log book?
History of track lap times?
What class(s) is it built for in PCA or SCCA?
