DT: 18k-Mile 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Wearing DBR9 Racing Green paint over a Sahara Tan leather interior, this 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Coupe is equipped with the desirable Sports Pack and produces well over 400 HP from its 4.7-liter engine. Showing just under 18k miles on the odometer and cared for by two prior owners, this V8 Vantage is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.

This Vantage is finished in DBR9 Racing Green, and it retains its Sports Pack 5-spoke 19" staggered-width wheels. Other details include a dual-exit exhaust, hood vents, and a bright finished grille. Bridgestone Potenza tires are mounted at all four corners and the seller notes some minor signs of wear to the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Vantage features Sahara Tan leather seating with Parliament Green stitching and matching carpets. Amenities include power seating with memory, a navigation system, cruise control, and more. Instrumentation consists of a 220-MPH speedometer and 8k-RPM tachometer mounted behind an Obsidian Black leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel. The slight wear on the driver's seat.

This Aston Martin is powered by a hand-built 4.7-liter V8 providing up to 420 HP and 346 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a 6-speed Sportshift automated manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The optional Sport Pack includes stiffened springs, revised dampers, and a trim-specific anti-roll bar. The CARFAX report shows consistent maintenance history including a recent service at McLaren of New Jersey in June 2022.

The sale of the vehicle will include owner's manuals and a clean title.

    Certainly is a beautiful Vantage!
I have a friend with one that had a failure in the drivers seat motion. It was fully locked up and Aston wanted $1700 for the fix. Brutal!

@WRENCH.56 the only thing close to an electrical issue while we've had the car was an alarm fault which was a loose connection. Otherwise car has been great. Was well taken care of by the previous owner

Are you aware of any specific electrical issues?

  • WRENCH.56 (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 2 daysago

I seriously doubt that a weak battery alone would require frequent scans of the electrical system. One simply needn't go through that to check if a battery is holding a charge.
More likely it would be something chronically troubling with the charging system or some other electrical gremlin (lighting issues, starter issues, power seats, etc.).

@WRENCH.56 Can't say for sure, but my guess would be the battery since it was not driven much. I hope that helps.

The service record is extensive, so this car appears well cared for. That said, there seems to be many repeated checks of the electrical system including the ignition system.
Can you share any comments or opinions regarding this issue?
