Based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class executive sedan, the CLS-Class debuted in 2004 as an upscale four-door coupe featuring a unique fastback design and premium luxury equipment. This 2009 CLS550 marks the final year of the first-generation CLS (C219) and was the most powerful non-AMG model with a 5.5-liter V8 engine in addition to featuring optional AirMATIC air suspension, rear seat heating, bi-xenon headlamps, and more. It was sold new in Vancouver and was previously imported to the United States where it was registered in Los Angeles several years before returning to British Columbia in 2014. Having covered approximately 32k miles, this CLS is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
This CLS550 is finished in Obsidian Black and is distinguished as a later post-facelift model by its redesigned bumpers and mirrors, LED taillights, square exhaust tips, and a revised two-bar front grille. It features optional active cornering bi-xenon headlights, a sliding glass sunroof, chrome door handles, and 18” 5-Twin-Spoke light alloy wheels dressed in Pirelli P6 all-season tires (4112). The seller states the wheels have been refinished and an accident occurred to the rear in 2009 which may have resulted in repainting. A scuff is also noted on the front bumper and passenger side rocker panel. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black/Anthracite leather complemented by gloss wood veneers. Amenities include includes climate-controlled multicontour front seats as well as a heated steering wheel, automatically dimming mirrors, a premium Harman/Kardon sound system, Keyless-Go entry, rear seat heating, a powered trunk lid, COMAND infotainment system, Parktronic system, automatic climate control, and an electric roller blind for the rear window.
This CLS550 is equipped with a naturally aspirated M273 DOHC V8 engine shared with the SL 550 Roadster. Up to 382 HP and 391 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. The car rides on optional AirMATIC air suspension and includes a gear selector with an integrated engine start button as well as Comfort, Sport, and manual driving modes. The CARFAX report shows service including front strut(s) replaced in 2017 and the seller states an oil change and inspection have been completed in preparation for the next owner.

RE: IMPORTING – Simple process
For all of our American buyers, I have already discussed all the details of the sale with a broker who helps Americans import thousands of cars a year. Their company is called AUTOCROSS BROKERS. The charges are approximately $400 Canadian for the paperwork. The broker will handle ALL the paperwork for whoever wins this car. Duty is 2.5% of the purchase price and can also be paid to the broker.
RE TRANSPORTATION: We work with all major transporters and carriers. We have spoken with a company locally here that will pick-up the vehicle from the secure dealership location and transport it across the border to Blaine, WA 98230 for $650 USD.
At that point your transportation company can continue on or you can drive it to wherever you live. BaT also offers their own shipping as well.
Approx $1000 USD gets this car across the border into Blaine, WA 98230 including ALL PAPERWORK & TRANSPORTATION.
