We are pleased to present this rare 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series, one of only 350 examples ever built and only 175 to have been imported for North America. Featuring upgraded brakes and suspension, specialized carbon-fiber bodywork, and a handbuilt V12 bi-turbo engine making over 660 HP, the Black Series represents the ultimate high-performance version of the R230 SL-class. Finished in Black over AMG Exclusive Anthracite leather, this collector-grade example shows just over 10,500 miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida accompanied by service records and the original window sticker.
The Black (040) paint is described to be in nearly perfect condition with a ceramic coating recently applied as well as a clear protective film over the front end and rear quarter panels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The Black Series shares only its door panels and mirrors with standard SL-class, all other body panels are specially designed and made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). The Black Series can be distinguished from the standard SL 65 AMG by its model-specific bumpers, side skirts, retractable rear wing, fixed carbon-fiber roof, and aggressive wide fenders that accommodate the staggered 19”/20” AMG Twin 6-spoke forged light-alloy wheels. This example currently rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires showing date codes from 2017.
Inside, the AMG Exclusive Anthracite leather interior features carbon-fiber trim, an Alcantara headliner, 12-way adjustable AMG Multicontour Sport Seats, and an AMG steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles. Driver amenities include COMAND GPS navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a premium Harmon/Kardon 10-speaker sound system. The shift knob reads “USA ONE OF 175” as a reference to the car's highly limited production number. Under the hood, the hand-built 6.0L V12 bi-turbo engine generates up to 661 horsepower and 738 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift Plus 5-speed automatic transmission and an AMG limited-slip rear differential. Compared with the standard SL 65 AMG, the Black Series saves over 550lbs. of weight and features larger turbochargers, optimized wastegate ducts, an AMG adjustable coil-over suspension, and larger brakes with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-pistons calipers in the rear. The Black Series will reach 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 3.6 seconds and continue on to a top speed electronically governed at 199 MPH. The seller reports all routine service to have been addressed and has provided a vast collection of maintenance records as shown in the photo gallery.

Good night everyone, this week I will be available to answer any questions or requests you need about the SL65 AMG Black Series, This particular SL65 is a car that has been maintained since its sale in 2009 and I must say that the car to my understanding is in Show condition, speaking of the exterior I cannot find any detail, the chips that can be seen in some photos are chips that are in the clear bra (it has clear bra in the entire front and in the rear quarter and side skirts).
Inside ,the driver's seat is the one that is barely worn due to use, but in good condition, the rest of the interior is in excellent condition, all buttons work, lights, rear spoiler works perfectly (see video), trunk struts work perfectly (see video), no signs of sticky, has recently exceeded 10,000 miles, lots of services done frequently, tires from the year 2017 in very good condition (mounted in May 2018 with 9500 miles at that time) can be seen in the carfax.
