The Creme White finish on this 997 is reported to be in excellent condition save for a minor scratch located near the sunroof.  The seller also indicates that the passenger side of the car was professionally refinished following a cosmetic incident (detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery).  Exterior modifications include a painted rear model designation and yellow PCCB ceramic composite brakes which can be seen behind the genuine Porsche Classic wheels with custom painted Creme White centers.  Some light scratches are noted on the edges of the wheels and Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires are also equipped which date 2018 in the front and 2016, 2017 in the rear.

The cabin is appointed with special Cocoa leather with additional OEM leather pieces installed under previous ownership including a crested center console.  The interior is said to be in very good condition with only minor wearing showing on the driver’s seat bolster.  Highlighting an original sticker price of over $105k, this 997.2 comes outfitted with the following factory options:

  • Self-Dimming Mirrors
  • Heated Seats

This 997.2 is equipped with a direct fuel-injected 3.8 L flat-six engine which is mated to a desirable 6-speed manual transmission.  385 HP is delivered to the rear wheels making for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.5 seconds.  Optional PASM Sports Suspension offers improved handling characteristics while the added Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) provide for superior stopping power.  A new battery was recently installed, all standard maintenance is said to be up to date and the seller has offered to accommodate a fresh oil service upon sale.

The sale of this 997.2 will include one master key, original owner’s books, a clear title and clean Carfax report.  Sporting a truly unique specification, this stand-out Carrera S is not to be overlooked.

9's and 10's and no paint work? The other panels read correctly so according to the meter reading looks like paintwork to me.

@tjhuffner Offer / Buy Now is plus auction service fee

  • tjhuffner 3 years, 7 monthsago

@switchcars Thanks for the response. My apologies; my comment sounds snide. It is a unique spec / color combination.

Its not clear to me, and I've looked over the website, does the "Buy Now" include the PCARMARKET fee?

  • switchcars (seller) 3 years, 7 monthsago

@tjhuffner I can't speak for that car, but this is a very unique color and spec.

As to why I think it's worth more, I was offered more than the high bid a week ago by a dealer on a wholesale purchase. So it is worth more. However, we're very close, and I anticipate a deal will be made today with one of the bidders.

  • tjhuffner 3 years, 7 monthsago

The market spoke. Curious to know why the seller believes the value of the car is higher, even higher than the 9k 2011 4S that sold for 60k just 3 weeks ago.

  • switchcars (seller) 3 years, 7 monthsago

Very very close guys, but not quite there on the bidding! Hope we can close the gap with one of the bidders.

@switchcars Yup. If a small dip/correction in the market prevents any buyer from bidding, then they shouldn't be biding anyway. The cost of the car is likely to cause more undo stress than the stock market fluctuation.

@PheasantRun If I had a dollar for every time I heard that, I'd be retired.

Seems to be a monthly excuse, right up there with "my wife", and of course the newest cop-out, "da-Covid".

All in good fun. Sorry that you won't be participating in this one, it's a fantastic car.

If the market didn't go south the last week I'd be in. Stunning and perfect year. GLWS

@charlie83 ..i am the short term owner from 1-20 and a serial pcar guy.. i live in NYC and the car, for me was simply too nice to keep. i put maybe <100 miles on it then sent it right to my indoor heated storage facility in NJ. this car is ridiculous!. good luck to all.

@Charlie83 Sure! Previous customer likes switching cars often. It's a common disease, hence our name.

  • Charlie83 (registered bidder) 3 years, 7 monthsago

4th owner had the car for almost 4 years since 2011 then 5th owner got it in 2019? Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

  • switchcars (seller) 3 years, 7 monthsago

Annual service has just been completed at Autowerks Porsche service in preparation for the new owner!

  • switchcars (seller) 3 years, 7 monthsago

    @vengerider @Sberger6 -
I'll have one of the guys go through the interior pieces, as we don't have a comprehensive list. The owner who did all of the upgrades was not the owner who traded it in to us and the documentation was not passed along.
According to the paintmeter there was no bodywork performed/no damage repair, as there are no readings higher than 11 thousands of an inch. If you talk to most body shops, if there is a scratch on a single panel, they will not repaint just that panel as it's nearly impossible to get the paint matched exactly, so they will blend into the adjacent panels. That was likely the case here, so it's reasonable to assume that the door got scratched/scraped and they blended into the fenders.

  • vengerider (registered bidder) 3 years, 7 monthsago

@switchcars What was the incident that resulted in the passenger side of the car being repainted? Also, what interior pieces were added by the seller? Do any original parts come with the car?

@RTHPorsche neither. They are factory PCCBs that were added after the fact. So it was originally equipped with steel rotors/calipers and the same owner who did the wheels and the leather interior upgrades (also OEM pieces) bought all new oem PCCBs and had them installed.

  • RTHPorsche (registered bidder) 3 years, 7 monthsago

Are the PCCB brakes factory or just painted yellow as I don’t see on the build sheet?

@Birdpalas Sorry about that, not sure how we forgot to include that!

Pcarmarket should be adding those photos shortly. All is good, nothing over range 2, and very few in both range one and range two. Operating hours are in line with normal use as well.

@switchcars thank you for the link.

@FLCarNut it’s not the starting bid that matters, but the ending bid.

  • FLCarNut (registered bidder) 3 years, 7 monthsago

A starting bid of $35,000 for an '09 C4S with 30K mi, six days out? Yes, unique color combo, but.... Someone must really REALLY want this car! The seller must be ecstatic. GLWTA!

@SoCalKarl we are to happy to upload some but we actually scrapped them because they were too washed out and the car just looked white. Direct sunlight is the photographer’s enemy.

  • SoCalKarl 3 years, 7 monthsago

Although the Creme color is unique the brown/cocoa interior color is stunning. I just can't stop staring at it. Do you by any chance have any pictures of the exterior done under direct sunlight? Your images are very good but they appear to have been done in either shade or under overcast skies. Can we get a few direct sunlight images of the car to see what the Creme looks like under the sun? Thank you.
