Now available for auction is this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4S finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black leather interior. The second-generation Porsche 997 (997.2) was launched for the 2009 model year and featured significant updates including larger flat-six engines with direct fuel injection. Factory equipped with Adaptive Sport Seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sports Exhaust system, and a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2009 Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois showing just over 60k miles on the odometer.
This 997.2 comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and is distinguished as a 4S from other Carreras by its wide fenders and signature reflector band connecting the taillights. It rides on aftermarket wheens fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2019. Some minor stone chips are noted on the front end as well as a few other small scratches and imperfections throughout the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

This second-generation Carrera 4S is equipped with a direct fuel injected 3.8L flat-six engine that sends as much as 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine breathes more freely thanks to an upgraded Fabspeed intake system and is complemented by the tone from a factory-optioned Sports Exhaust System. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus also enables variable sport and sport plus performance settings for the driver to choose from. The CARFAX report shows 15 service records dating as far back as 2009, and in July of 2021 a service carried out by Napleton Westmont Porsche included a brake fluid flush, oil and filter change, new drive belts, and more.

Good afternoon all! We just wanted to let you know we took the car to an authorized Porsche dealer to get a DME report. As we thought, the car was definitely "babied" as shown on the report. The report has been added to the gallery, as well as some additional pictures from underneath the car. Upon close inspection of the wheels, for sure, they are non-OEM aftermarket wheels. Unfortunately, we do not have the originals. Lastly, PCar has added our videos: one while running outside at our original photo shoot, and a cold-start video in our showroom after sitting for a couple of days. To pass Cali the parts need to have carb certification. The fabspeed intake is not carb certified. Emissions wise this car will pass as long as there is no check engine light, but If the smog station opens the rear hatch it will not pass. Easy fix put the stock airbox back. Also it has been discussed and proven in the p car forums, you tube videos etc this air intake sounds great but performance wise is not as good as the factory airbox, It’s a shame because the carbon fiber looks cool and sound is great.
@poiboy Thanks for your question! I am not completely sure about California emissions, but this car passed all of its required Illinois emission tests, with the most recent one being in May of 2021 when it had just over 57,000 miles.

Also, the posting says "Carrera S II wheels" I have never seen that style wheel on any 997.
Can you confirm what they are, maybe some pix of the inside of the rim showing the spec.
