Up for auction is this second generation 2010 Porsche 997 GT3 RS finished in Grey Black/Guards Red over a black full leather interior. Representing one out of only 654 units sold in the United States, this rare example was sent to GMG racing to be outfitted with a comprehensive list of performance upgrades. Showing approximately 19k miles on the odometer, this GT3 RS is now being offered for auction in turn-key condition by its seller in Concord, CA.
The Grey Black finish on this GT3 RS is stated to be in excellent condition. The seller indicates that the front bumper and hood have been professionally refinished and wrapped in paint protective film to remedy some minor rock chips.
As a coveted RS model, this GT3 is equipped with a fixed carbon fiber rear spoiler, contrasting red exterior graphics and red painted center-lock wheels which come wrapped in Michelin Sport tires. The seller states that a fresh set of Michelin tires will be installed prior to delivery. Additional aero components have been installed including carbon fiber GT3 RS 4.0 front canards as well as a GT3 Cup front splitter.
This GT3 RS sports a gorgeous black full leather interior adorned with extended red deviated stitching. The OEM carbon fiber console was replaced with a Guards Red unit and additional track safety equipment has been installed including a GMG roll bar, Schroth competition harness and a handheld fire extinguisher. Boasting an original sticker price of over $153k, this GT3 RS is equipped with the following exclusive factory options:
This GT3 RS carries a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine that is rated at 450 HP stock. The rear wheels are driven by way of a traditional 6-speed manual transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 3.8 seconds. Having seen track use under its first two owners, the third owner of this GT3 RS had a complete flywheel, clutch and engine replacement performed by Porsche at approximately 9k miles. It was then sent to GMG racing for a full performance build resulting in a new power output of over 485 HP. The seller states that this RS has not seen track use since the engine replacement. The DME report shows over-revs in ranges 4 and 5, however, upon showing this report to a professional it was evident that these over-revs most likely occurred earlier, on the original engine (based on hours). The following performance upgrades were professionally installed by GMG racing:
The seller indicates that a $4k service was performed approximately 500 miles ago including a hydraulic clutch fluid replacement, oil change, refrigerant recharge, brand new upper and lower power steering hoses and new shift linkage. Reported to be up-to-date on all scheduled service, this GT3 RS is just waiting to be enjoyed on the open road.
The sale of this impeccable GT3RS will include original books, one key, a clean Carfax report and records from 16k miles. This vehicle is offered with a clear California title. Do not miss your opportunity to own one of the rarest and most collectible modern-day Porsche’s on the road.

@davisjrjr I asked myself this 100 times and finally gave up however if one really does the homework on the DME report and one truly knows how to read them and KNOW what they’re reading , and add 400rpms over red , they’ll see what I did . An extremely awesome , rare and collectible 997.2 RS in their garage.
@Xcrushurskullx - interesting ... if this is true than that explains why the DME was not reset making your statement highly plausible to me. Thank you for chiming in and bringing insight to the table. I can not stress enough how unreal this machine is in every visual and mechanical aspect . To each their own in regards to the new engine, I however see that as reborn and enjoyed all 3k miles I added whilst grinning ear to ear.
@sfmomentum the engine wasn’t replaced under warranty, as per PCNA records. Not saying that’s a bad thing. Maybe the previous owner just grabbed the wrong gear in the moment and had to pay the steep price. Beautiful car and nice mods. GLWS.

Why wouldn’t the DME have been reset after a complete rebuild??
@OakMan we never received the full story on why, however yes to our knowledge it was replaced under warranty , along with clutch and fly wheel. The monster was reborn!!
Bid in the amount of $80,000
