Now up for auction is this 2011 Porsche 997.2 Turbo Coupe finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a black full leather interior.  One of the rarer models of the 997.2 series, this 6-speed Turbo Coupe commanded an original sticker price of over $147k with options including a Limited Slip Rear Differential Lock, the Sport Chrono Package Turbo with Dynamic Engine Mounts, illuminated door sill guards, and more.  It has also been modified with upgraded TechArt wheels and an aftermarket front axle lift system.  A lifelong West Coast car, this Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Beverly Hills, California while showing under 15k miles on the odometer.

This Turbo is finished in Basalt Black Metallic and features optional Bi-Xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).  Retaining its characteristic wide fenders, side air intakes, and extendable rear spoiler, the second-generation 997 Turbo debuted new LED taillights and larger exhaust tips.  Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This 997.2 rides on upgraded 19" TechArt wheels finished in black with polished outer lips, dressed in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Inside, this Turbo features a black full leather interior with heated Adaptive Sport Seats, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, driver’s seat memory, and Bose Surround Sound with an XM satellite radio receiver.  Exclusive options include a footrest in Sport Look, illuminated door entry guards in stainless steel, and a center console lid embossed with the Turbo logo.  An aftermarket front axle lift system has been installed and allows the driver to raise or lower the nose of the car for extra clearance.

This second-generation 997 Turbo is equipped with a 3.8L flat-six engine featuring direct fuel injection and twin variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbochargers.  As much as 500 HP and 480 lb.-ft of torque are sent to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission with limited-slip locking rear differential providing for a 0-60 time of approximately 3.4 seconds.  This Turbo has been optioned with the Sport Chrono Package Turbo including Dynamic Engine Mounts, which enables the driver to fine-tune and enhance performance characteristics.   CARFAX shows a consistent history of maintenance with the last documented service completed by Beverly Hills Porsche earlier in 2021 at 14,312 miles.  A DME report is provided in the gallery.

This sale will include a clean title.  Do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel of a low-mileage Porsche 997.2 Turbo with a rare 6-speed manual transmission.

@joyandedwin our apologies on that! We've tried our paint meter on several cars in our showroom while the bidding is going on and it seems that the paint meter may be faulty. However, prior to payment, you're more than welcome to get the car inspected. Let us know if you need anything else and thanks for the comment!

  • bguts14 (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

wow one of the nicest 997.2 turbo's I've seen

@Bruno911 no worries and glad we can help! It's an incredible car and deserves a good home.

  • Bruno911 2 years, 5 monthsago

@pbh_david Thank you for checking. It looks like portervictor knocked me out of the fight.

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Bruno911 after conducting more trials on the car with the paint meter and other cars in our showroom, the paint meter may be faulty. Prior to your commitment and payment, you're welcome to have it independently inspected within 3 days of purchase.

As for the short shifter and the other mods listed for the vehicle, they were done to ensure that the car still looked "stock"as mentioned by the previous owner.

Thanks for the questions @Bruno911 and let us know if you have any other questions. We'll try to answer them to the best of our ability.

@sportscarguy3 If I win at this price you’ll see me dancing in the streets. That was not that serious. I guess many don’t know the market on these.

@pbh_david the front fenders and rear quarters are steel. Perhaps you are confusing fenders with bumpers?
Short shifter was not part of sports chrono. Is it possible the car just has the stock shifter? There doesn't seem to be any indication of it being aftermarket.

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Bruno911 @Bruno911, unfortunately, our paint meter only provides readings on steel and aluminium panels. Thank you

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@groach @groach, it is fitted with European style pipes and not the OEM standard ones. Please find a link to KW Suspensions (https://www.kwsuspensions.net/). Also, I believe the OEM Short shift kit is listed on the build sheet as part of the option SportChrPkgTurbo-w/DynEngMount. The vehicle lifter button has been discreetly installed in the storage box between the seats. Hope that these clarifications help! Thank you

believe me and other bidding may not comfortable on the mods and the ambiguity on paint meter readings. that being said, i will still bid based on what info was provided. thx.

  • Bruno911 2 years, 5 monthsago

@pbh_david not sure I follow the paint meter reading result you posted. How can fenders and quarter panels be Zero? Could you clarify please?

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

    @Spyder34 @Spyder34, no reason at all...it's a beautiful car!

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@joyandedwin @joyandedwin, The readings that we are getting on the car are: Hood (PPF) - 15.2 to 17.3 Doors - 3.2 to 4.5 Front Fenders - 0 reading Rear Quarter Panels - 0 reading Rear - 0 reading We do not believe that this car has been repainted. Hope this information helps. Thank you

  • Johnnypistol (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Would David seller please answer the last few bidders questions before we run out of time? Also would there be winter tires for this car ?

  • Bruno911 2 years, 5 monthsago

So no paint meter readings and we still don't know if car has factory or Europipe exhaust?

  • sportscarguy3 (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

PS every time I look at this car I remember my 2010 GT 3
The black basaltic is a great look!
It looks different from most angles I got positive comments on my GT 3 every time I took it out
The paint the wheels and the mileage make this a suite Porsche (imho )

  • Spyder34 (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

The Carfax suggests that Pagani BH has had this car for sale since July 29, 2021 and still has it for sale on the web-site. Any reason this otherwise desirable spec hasn't sold in 3+ months?

  • groach (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

pbh_david. After a little research, it sounds like the KW lift kit requires their coilovers.
Does the PASM still function with these (not just the light on the button, but does it change the firmness of the suspension)? And how is the ride quality (KW seems to have a lot of different coilover setups)?
Also would still like to know about the exhaust (factory, or Euro pipe as in your previous ad)?
And the OEM short shifter that doesn't seem to be original according the build sheet?
And what original parts are included with the sale?
    Thank you

  • groach (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@pbh_david The cars.com ad for this car lists some things that are not mentioned here. Your listing there says this car has:
    Euro pipes
KW suspension (separate from the lift kit)
OEM short shift kit (which is not on the build sheet)
Can you provide details on these modifications and which original parts are included with the sale?
    Thank you.

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@joyandedwin all of the panels are original. The vehicle has not been repainted and has a clean Carfax with no issues.

  • joyandedwin (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Please post paint meter readings for all panels please. Have any of the panels been repainted or not original? GLWA

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Kupplungspedal thank you for your comments. All of the information you are recommending is already listed in the gallery. As far as PPF, there is PPF installed on the front bumper.

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@List-Renn we do not have any documentation for the wheels but all of the information you need is listed on this auction. Please let us know if there is anything else you need, thanks!

  • List-Renn (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Any documentation paperwork for the wheels and FAL?
    Stunning color, BTW.
I have a 997 GTS in the same paint- varies from brown under mercury vapor streetlight to violet at dawn/dusk, to mirrored shale with mica flecks in bright sun.
Not like A1 Black or T2 Jet Black metallic, at all.
    GLW your auction.

  • pbh_david (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@GLHatWFO I could not agree with you more!

  • Metaphysician (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Kupplungspedal 997.2 TT production was 2010-2013 and yielded only 488 manual transmission units for North America. 2009 is still considered a 997.1, albeit transitional year with the updated 997.2 PCM.

Next to my 2010 GT 3, which I regret selling, this would be the Porsche for me
Great look with the tech art wheels
Black / black is just a great look on this Turbo
Having recently bought my 1987 930 turbo, not bidding on this beauty, however very interested in the building
    Good luck all

For all potential buyers. These are great cars, with a ton of torque and great grip and handling. I've got a 2011 GT Silver Metallic, 6MT and really enjoy driving it daily and for weekend B road runs. And, they are quite rare. After the financial crisis, the 997.2 TT production in MT was very limited. I have seen numbers as low as less than 400 total MT twin turbo coupes produced over that three year run (2009-2011). I have only seen a handful of them for sale on BAT and PC the past few years. Last of the manual TT ever made and while I have not owned a 991 or 992, I think the vehicles dimensions of the 997 are just about perfect. I also own a 996TT, but find that when I have a choice, I take the keys for the 997. I would expect this to move up quite a bit in the bidding, but will let the market do its magic. You really won't be disappointed with owning one of these models.

For the dealer a few important items that would help document the sale. Paint meter readings on all panels, has any PPF film installed, and finally a current DME report showing any over-revs, as well as service history.

I am not much for black cars but Basalt Black is another league and I would own one any day.
