Up for auction is this 2011 Porsche 997 Turbo S Coupe finished in rare and desirable GT Silver Metallic with a contrasting Carrera Red full natural leather interior.  After being sold with 2k miles from Paul Miller Porsche in NJ, this Turbo S spent time most of its life in Georgia with the previous owner until being acquired by the seller.  With 27k miles now showing on the odometer, this 997.2 is now being sold in excellent condition by its seller in New York

The GT Silver exterior is stated to be in exceptional condition and is sure to please even the most discerning buyer.  The comprehensive photo gallery truly depicts the condition of this Turbo S.  The CARFAX report does indicate an accident, however, the seller states that the dealership backed into someone at a fuel station prior to the car being sold.  Only the rear bumper was reported to have undergone a professional respray.  Included in the gallery, are paint meter readings to assure that this car never sustained any harm.  Adding to the already aggressive look of this Turbo S is a very rare and desirable factory-installed aero kit.  This example rides on 19” Turbo II factory wheels that stand in excellent condition with only a few minor marks on the passenger rear wheel.  The Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are reported to have excellent tread and are date stamped from 2016.

Inside, you will find an extremely well-kept Carrera Red full-natural leather interior.  The original MSRP of nearly $189k included exclusive options such as deviated carpet color, heated/ventilated seats, contrasting silver seatbelts, Porsche crests in headrests, Sport Chrono Package, and more.  Taking it a step further, the steering column and PCM head unit are both wrapped in leather from the factory which is very rarely seen on 997 models.  A full build sheet is available in the photo gallery.  All components are stated to be in excellent working order.

Power comes from a twin turbocharged 3.8 L engine that produces approximately 530HP.  Delivering this to all four wheels is Porsche’s 7-Speed PDK transmission, providing lightning fast automatic or paddle shift gear changing.  From factory, this Turbo S is equipped with dynamic engine mounts which make for a sportier ride and slight boost in performance over other Turbos on the road.  Thanks to the factory Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes, the stopping power will impress you equally to its acceleration.  A recent 40k service was performed at Jim Ellis Porsche in Atlanta making this Turbo in top running and driving condition.

The sale will include the owner’s manual, 2 keys, and a Carfax report showing several service records including the recent 40k that was just carried out.  This is an opportunity to own one of the most iconic sports cars ever produced in a rare color combination with options that are truly unique and sought after.

@TRI_Ind The build sheet is in the listing. It's optioned with Turbo II wheels which are not center lock.

  • TRI_Ind (registered bidder) 4 years, 4 monthsago

Is the original window sticker provided and can it be posted? Am I correct to think that this car should have center locking wheels? I though those were standard on the Turbo S model. Can anyone provide an answer. Are these the wheels that came with the car?

Beautiful car great build. I love the PCCB. This car may sell at a higher price in Europe. Over there they love the PDKs and I see a lot of negative comments on the manual online. Fortunately here in the states we covet the 3 peddle transmission. My only ask of the seller please don’t let this car go for a low price. It deserves too much respect. This is the last 911 version with hydraulic steering before the 991.1 went electric.

@manuals4ever hello, the defect seen on the armrest appears to be delamination of the original Carbon Fiber piece from Porsche. It is not present on any of the other carbon trim pieces and should be able to be replaced with a factory part pretty easily.

    Super looking 997.2 Turbo!
IMHO the red interior is spectacular!
One question is about the drivers side CF arm rest in picture 48; what is the issue there? is it just smudges or actual damage to the finish? The Pax side arm rest (pic49) doesn't show the same marks/blemishes??
    Thanks

@Doc18015 What was the purpose of your comment. That is the correct wing, The interior is Killer cool and subjective and if you want confirmation about original paint, just request paint meter readings. Sorry but your comment had no facts or value to possible REAL bidders. Anyway. What an Absolute gem you have here for sale. I wish the seller the best and to whoever wins the auction.

@Doc18015 hello and thanks for the comment. I can not testify as to the particulars as I was not there at the time. It would be assumed that the person whom was backed into wanted to document the incident with a police report. Nonetheless, the paint meter readings show all metal panels on this car to be OEM original paint that has been untouched since this car left the factory, which is all that is important in my opinion. This is 100% the correct and original aero kit for this year 997.2 turbo, The normally aspirated cars have a completely different wing which is what you may be referring to.

Nonetheless, this is a beautiful and rare specimen that I consider to be a truly special find. Someone will be very pleased with this car and I am looking forward to speaking with and meeting the new owner.

    Good luck to all!

Of concern is why did the dealer report its own accident showing up on the Carfax? If they repainted the bumper and never reported it, the car would be clean. The rest of the car seems to be very nice although the rear wing does look different in design than later aero models.
I have a few Porsches and do enjoy them, but the red interior is a little too much red. Strictly personal choice but wish the seller well in their goal of selling.
