DT: 5K-Mile 2012 Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4 GTS 6-Speed

Up for auction is this brilliant 2012 Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe finished in Guards Red over a black leather and Alcantara interior.  This GTS is a stand out among others on the market due to its unique configuration, 6-speed manual transmission, and extremely low mileage.  It is being offered in exceptional condition by its seller out of Florida with just 5k miles showing on the odometer.

The Guards Red finish on this GTS is said to be in like-new condition with an application of clear paint protection film covering the front bumper, hood, and fenders for extra protection. From the factory, this example has been equipped with a few distinctive exterior features such as clear taillights, a factory widebody and flawless black-finished RS Spyder Design center-lock wheels that wear Bridgestone Potenza tires dated from 2017 with plenty of tread life remaining.

Inside, you will find a uniquely configured black leather and Alcantara interior that features Guards Red accents throughout.  Additional interior design features include an Alcantara steering wheel, silver deviated stitching, an aluminum gear lever and aluminum hand brake. The interior is said to remain in exceptional condition with all electronics fully functional.

This 997 GTS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8 L flat-six engine with an increased power output over the Carrera S of 408 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque.  All four wheels are driven by a highly desirable 6-speed manual transmission making for a truly connected driving experience.  The seller has indicated that the car is up-to-date on all service and is in excellent running condition.  If you are in the market for a truly eye-catching 997, look no further.

The sale will include two keys, books, and a clean Carfax report.

    @996ttcab

    New to the Porsche marquee, are we? The 997.2 GTS4 is simply a C4S with all of the boxes checked and different badging.

    The 997.2 GTS is something that is completely unavailable outside of a Sport Classic, which wasn't available in the USA. Widebody RWD carrera. This makes it much more desirable than a C4S with a different badge. The equivalent would be the 996 GT2, which is the "rare" version of your car. I suppose that you think a GT2 is no more desirable than a 996 TT as well? From a collector's standpoint, similar mile GTS and GTS4 manuals bring different dollars. The market says the GTS is more desired; it is also more desired than the 997TT manual when one looks at depreciation on like vs like (mileage and condition).

    @SpeedJunky Yeah man, $75k for a car like this would be cause for celebration. This car is worth something with a 9 in front of it. Strange call trying to sell it here, especially in the middle of a pandemic. Perhaps just some advertisement.

    @SpeedJunky Yeah, even though the GTS4 isn't seen as desirable by most compared to the GTS, it is still a sweet car and would be a low 70's car with 30,000 miles. The super low mileage has to add a big premium! I would drive it, although the regular GTS is more special, as you can't get a widebody RWD 997 Carrera in any other regular platform.

    @gjthomas477 What normally happens is the car is moved to the Deal Tank and the seller can list a Buy It Now price and people can continue to make offers. That's where I got a great deal on my low mileage 997

    What happens if the finale bid dose not meet or exceed reserve requirement?

  • sayheywillie24 1 week, 1 dayago

    @SpeedJunky Best of luck! You moved it out of my price range (although I never thought I would be a player.) It is absolutely gorgeous and I hope you get it! Cheers!

    @sayheywillie24 i saw no point in submitting silly bids where we know the car won't sell. I love the build on this car. I've never seen a GTS specced like this, not to mention one with this low mileage. If i get this for 75k I'll be popping champagne but something tells me it will take more than my current bid. We shall see. Wish me luck.
