  • Lot #: V-0051473-DT

Among the top-tier versions of the Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen, or “terrain vehicle,” this G63 AMG features a handcrafted AMG 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of producing over 560 HP. Finished in Iridium Silver Metallic over Black Designo Leather, it features the Chrome Package, a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Surround Sound System, the Seat Comfort Package, the Designo Exclusive Package, and several additional amenities. As previously listed on PCARMARKET, this G63 AMG is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada with approximately 119k kilometers or 74k miles showing on the odometer.

The G63 receives styling from AMG, including a revised grill and bumpers, additional trim, and chrome-finished side-exit exhausts. This example is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (9775) complemented with the Exterior Stainless Steel Package. A set of red-finished AMG-branded brake calipers are fitted beneath 20” AMG 5-Double-Spoke wheels in Titanium Grey. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting damage in February 2020.

The cabin is appointed with Black Designo Leather as part of the Designo Exclusive Package, incorporating diamond-stitched details along the seats and door panels along with Piano Lacquer Black trim. Other details include an Alcantara headliner, a sunroof, ambient lighting, and velour floor mats. Amenities include a heated multifunction steering wheel, front & rear seat heating, the Seat Comfort Package, a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Surround Sound System, rear entertainment, and a rear bottle holder. Additional features encompass Parktronic, Distronic, COMAND infotainment, and Blind Spot Assistant. A mileage inconsistency is shown on the CARFAX report in 2020, which seems to be a clerical error. The seller recommends referencing the Canadian CARFAX for the odometer reading.

The robust AMG-assembled 5.5L twin-turbocharged V8 engine generates 563 HP and 561 lb.-ft of torque.  All four wheels are driven through an AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic transmission, allowing for an impressive 0-60 time of approximately 4.8 seconds. Off-road performance features include a low-range transfer case, three locking differentials, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a streamlined underbody for maximum clearance. The CARFAX report shows six service history entries.

This sale will include a clean title. The CARFAX report also notes a stolen report.

The seller would like you to know: “Welcome to our 2013 G63 auction! This is an extremely well-maintained and clean example, and we can't wait for it to go to a new home! As always, we are more than happy to assist buyers regarding shipping and import. We have expert brokers and shipping companies we work with and can help you with any questions you may have. Bid with confidence!”

Hi everyone. We’d like to give a quick update regarding the car.

CarFax USA has finally informed us that they have FIXED the mileage inconsistency on the report. Therefore the are ZERO discrepancies between the Canadian and US reports, which is something we are very happy about.

We are still waiting on the EPA sticker and gauge cluster, as Canada Post has gone on a strike and both of these items are stuck in their respective locations. We do not know when they will arrive, there is no ETA on when the strike will end. We apologize for this but it is out of our hands.

Hope this update helps all interested parties. Please reach out for any questions either through our website or through direct messages here!

@autosportclassic - please post when you have both in hand. I am waiting to hear back from my registered importer as well. Still very interested - but need a little more comfort that it will be a seamless process like my 2 Porsches that I brought in this year

One hour left everyone! We want to restate that we have ordered both the EPA sticker and the US spec gauge cluster, which means that importing this vehicle into the US will be worry-free and easily handled by our brokers. This is an incredible example of the G63, a car we are confident the new owner will thoroughly enjoy. Happy bidding!

@JV911 The day of the damage is where the inconsistency shows up. Instead of being 41k they wrote 104k miles (167k kilometers). It goes back to 41k after that entry. We are not sure who inputted this, or why there is even an error, as if you look at the Canadian CarFax there are zero issues. We always go by the Canadian CarFax and only realized this issue once we listed the car here. Hope this helps!

Hi - Please help me understand the mileage inconsistency. Feb 2020 it was 104K and the damage states 168K. June 2020 benz in peterborough states 41k.

We have ordered the EPA sticker! I will arrive in one week. There will be ZERO issues importing this vehicle now, letter of compliance is not needed. Happy bidding, bid with confidence! This is an incredible G Wagon example ready for its new home!

  • autosportclassic (seller) 3 weeks, 5 daysago

@surf2day We've reached out to the dealership for an EPA sticker, one way or another this vehicle will be imported into the USA. We will know by today if we can get that. Thank you!

  • surf2day (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 6 daysago

@autosportclassic - thanks for this information. And having the US Spec gauge faces will help pass the NHTSA/DOT requirements. Just an FYI, if MB Canada is anything like Porsche Canada - they will not issue a compliance letter to a US citizen/resident for the exact reason they state. They WILL do it for a Canadian citizen relocating to the US.
The benefit for folks importing newer model or CPO Porsches is that Porsche does not kill their New Car or CPO warranties at the border like most other OEMs. They don’t like the cross border sales and won’t help facilitate - but they don’t hinder either.
Since they state that the G63 is compliant it would seem as though they could send a replacement EPA label and then there is zero issue for import. I’m highly interested so will pass this info to my registered importer who has recently brought in an MY23 911 Targa 4 GTS and an MY24 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 for me.

  • autosportclassic (seller) 3 weeks, 6 daysago

@surf2day We have ordered the US specific gauge cluster replacement face and will include it with the sale. We have also uploaded the email from Mercedes Benz Canada. Again to clarify, the BUYER of the vehicle must ask for the letter of compliance as they cannot issue this letter to us, the SELLER.

The winning bidder must reach out to them as the owner of the vehicle, stating that they are moving the vehicle to the USA due to a change in their circumstances of living or what have you, then Mercedes Benz will issue this letter. They will not issue it to the seller because of the non-export agreement as stated before. I apologize for the confusion, we hope this helps. This car IS importable to the US, we have brokers that will handle all of this for you worry free, and we will help you every step of the way with this process. Thank you!

Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.

  • surf2day (registered bidder) 4 weeksago

Thank you for your response. I look forward to seeing the letter copy from MB Canada as Canadian MBs and others should have identical EPA certifications. And for the telltales, thank you as well.

  • autosportclassic (seller) 4 weeksago

Recent service records have been uploaded.

  • autosportclassic (seller) 4 weeksago

@surf2day Thank you for all of these great questions. I will look into the Park and Brake ISO symbols and get back to you shortly.

EPA Letter of Compliance: Mercedes-Benz Canada cannot supply the current owner of the vehicle with a letter of compliance as Canada and the USA have a non-export agreement. The only time they allow this is when the CURRENT owner wants to transfer the car under their ownership from Canada to the US, not when they are SELLING the car to the US. Therefore the BUYER of the vehicle (new owner) must request this letter saying that they would like to move the car from Canada to the USA. We are very sorry but by law this is how it must go, however, we do have confirmation that the car is compliant from Mercedes Benz-Canada. I will attach an email from them saying so.

Cost of odometer faceplate: We will look into this, but from our understanding the faceplate for the speedometer does not need to be changed, as long as the digital speedometer shows MPH the car is compliant. We did this exact same process for a Canadian 997.2 GT3 RS which we sold to the USA.

Telltale photos: Will have these uploaded very shortly.

Damage to the vehicle: There has never been any damage to this car, hence the $0 claim. Please see paint meter readings also.

We hope this helps! Please let us know if there is anything further you'd like us to answer.

Just refreshed the closed auction from before. I see that you did respond to some of the requests. Thank you.. here a few more.

    - Did you receive the letter of compliance from Mercedes for the EPA Certs? You had mentioned you would have that in 5-10 days in the previous auction.
    - What is the cost to do the odometer faceplate change under your care?
    - I don’t think that the telltale pics requested were posted - correct?

If the Park and Brake ISO telltales are in the Speedo or Odo faceplate - they can be rectified with a faceplate change to one or both.

  • surf2day (registered bidder) 4 weeksago

So to clarify..is there a Digital Speedo in addition to the Analog KPH speedo in the cluster? Also, can you post a picture of the lighted up ISO Symbols for Park and Brake? That is a requirement by NHTSA to be change to the words as well. Also, I may have asked this during the original auction, but was there actual damage to the G during the theft event - or is there damage separate from it? Thank you.

@DJSANDHU Yes, but this can be done through the digital screen on the gauge cluster. As long as that is converted to MPH you will easily be able to import the vehicle. We've done this countless times on other cars, it's quite easy!

Will this have to have its instruments changed to the Imperial system?

@Doc18015 Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns—we truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to offer your thoughts. However, we want to clarify that this G63 is not a car for a flipper or someone simply looking to resell it. While we understand the importance of Carfax reports, it’s worth noting that this car has zero issues and is perfect for someone who truly wants to enjoy an accident-free, well-preserved G-Wagon. We believe it’s a fantastic opportunity for the right buyer, and we’re very confident it will be a joy for the next owner.

  • Doc18015 (registered bidder) 1 monthago

This is a relist from the seller. I commented on it in the past and will re-comment here again. The Carfax for this vehicle is a killer for resale and trading to any dealer in the USA. Dealers pay for Carfax "inputs" but anyone that has been around autos knows that if the accident/disturbance is not reported; Carfax does not report it. The opposite is also true where many good autos are reported as "accident", etc. dealers will discount heavily the trade value. Ironic because dealers pay for the "Carfax" supposed service. This car will be trouble in the USA because of the Carfax report; mileage, accident/stolen, etc. Here we have a dealer that has had it for quite some time in his inventory, NO SALE......we have to wonder if the same system he supports is the deterrent to many a potential buyer. For that reason, I removed myself from the bidding and need for an auto with too many stories. I hope that my post does help any potential buyer understand that Carfax is a very important factor in the sale or purchase of any auto and a dealer tool for deterring any possible purchase for trade or for the weakening of trade value.

Welcome back to our G63 auction! We will be more than happy to assist with any import/shipping related concerns.

We’d also like to clear up concerns regarding the “damages” on the CarFax, it is actually stated as a $0 claim, there have been absolutely zero damages to this vehicle in the entirety of it’s life. This is a zero accident, absolutely mint condition G63 ready for its next owner!
