The Racing Yellow paint is said to remain in like-new condition.  Noteworthy exterior details include Sport Tailpipes, Bi-Xenon headlights, and an eye-catching factory safety roll bar painted in Racing Yellow .  Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  This Boxster rides on optional 20” Carrera S wheels which are finished in Platinum Satin and come dressed in Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Inside, you will find a black leather interior that features power operated sport seats.  The driver will enjoy open cabin cruising with creature comforts such as Premium package and an Infotainment package including BOSE surround sound.  Other exclusive options include Seatbelts in Racing Yellow, Racing Yellow instrument Dials, and a Sport Design steering wheel.  The cabin is stated to be in great condition with all gauges and accessories remaining fully functional.

This Boxster carries a mid-mounted 2.7 L flat-six engine which sends 265 HP to the rear wheels by the way of a 7-speed PDK transmission, making for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds.  The 981 generation features electromechanical power steering and a redesigned chassis which offers a longer wheelbase and 40% more torsional rigidity over the previous generation.  Included service records show consistent maintenance and the seller notes that an oil and filter change will be performed upon the assignment of new ownership.

The sale of this Boxster will include a set of two keys, original books, service records and a clean Carfax report.  This 2014  Porsche 981 Boxster offers the perfect choice for any Porsche enthusiast in search of a unique roadster.

@Turboted the seller sent this response. he has no internet access at the moment.
, to import to US we will need documentation, that states it meets US standards. Two ways to do this:
    i) Car has a manufacturer label in or around the driver seat door, which states that it has been produced for the US market.
ii) The manufacturer send you a letter which confirms it complies with the current US requirements.
Obviously #1 is easiest. Can you show a picture of the manufacturer label?

with the auction ending today why has the seller never responded definitively to the question of the cars origin. Show a picture of the manufacturers label or something to authenticate the car as a US or foreign car. Also, only 1 picture of the top up - and it looks a little non-fitting. Interested in bidding but waiting for more info.

@fillindagarages Canadian pollution/environmental requirements are of stricter than US. That's why lots of US dealers imports cars from Canada every day.

Very nice 981! Can you post photos of the EPA compliant and FMVSS certificate labels (usually inside the car door, engine compartment and under the hood)? A VIN analysis shows this car was sold by PCL (Porsche Canada Ltd.) an not PCNA. Therefore, without the aforementioned labels, I fear importing to the USA may be tiresome.

Regarding sales and shipment across the border, I’ve seen numerous suggestions that the easiest way to accomplish this is to use a car shipper who is experienced with the customs paperwork and fees. Apparently cars are still crossing the border with little or no delay even now.
An internet search for major shipping companies should provide clarity.

Sorry to ask a redundant question. The entire carfax seems to be in Canada? No mention of previous owner and I am missing the time span on carfax when it was in Florida. Thanks for clarifying my confusion.

  • Turboted (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

Depending on whether you plan to go to Canada and bring the car across the US border, it can cost well over $500. That would likely only cover customs costs. If you plan to transport the car, based on where you live in the US it can cost significantly more. I recently brought a car from Toronto to New Jersey and total cost was around $1,600 - plus registering in New Jersey - which took 3 months to get through the State registration process for a "foreign" car.

Beautiful example. If I lived in Canada it would join my P collection. Good luck.

    Good for Canada/US market

@lasaro7 two owners, I bought car in Florida and brought to Vancouver for $500, or so, but it would be new owners responsibility.

  • AlokePaul (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@lasaro7 New owners responsibility, allow $500, or so

  • AlokePaul (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @lasaro7 Two owners

  • lasaro7 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

Two questions. How many owners has the car had? I don’t see that on the CarFax that is reprinted, or perhaps I’m just missing it. Is there any detail going to be provided on the process and costs of transporting across border?

  • PCARMARKET 3 years, 8 monthsago

@prosunseeker Hello. The auction is available to bidders in all countries and all are welcome to bid. Shipping and any associated fees for import would be the responsibility of the buyer.
    Best of luck!

  • Irish23 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

Can you confirm it complies with the current US requirements? Should be a label in or around the driver seat door, which states that it has been produced for the US market.

  • prosunseeker (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

Is this auction primarily for Canadian bidders? If not, how would import work in general and also now with border closings as far as I know?
