Based on the fifth-generation S197 Mustang, the Shelby GT350 was offered as a post-purchase upgrade by Shelby American and features a 624 HP Whipple-supercharged 5.0L Coyote V8 paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, a 3.73 limited-slip differential, Shelby 19” Bright Silver wheels, Wilwood 6-piston front brakes, a Shelby/Ford Racing suspension, a Borla exhaust system, and much more. This example represents one of only 14 convertibles built for the model year and is designated as #98 out of 100 GT350s produced in 2014. Beginning life as a standard Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible finished in Deep Impact Blue with over a Charcoal Black leather interior, this Shelby GT350 received almost $49k in upgrades from Shelby American and is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Florida showing just over 9k miles on the odometer.

The exterior is finished in Deep Impact Blue (J4) with white over-the-top racing stripes, side stripes, GT350 insignias, and a black convertible soft top.  Factory equipment consists of HID automatic headlights, sequential rear tail lamps, an upholstered roll bar with integrated third brake light, and Mustang “Pony” puddle lights. Shelby American installed add-ons include model-specific front and rear fascias, front brake cooling ducts, black brake calipers with red Shelby script, a GT500 rear spoiler, and Borla oval-shaped dual exhaust tips. The 19” Shelby Bright Silver wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires from 2012. The car is said to have always been garage-kept and the seller notes only minor rock chips on the front bumper, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The interior is upholstered in Charcoal Black leather and features 6-way power-adjustable sport seats with GT350 embroidery on the headrests. Factory options include the Electronic Package with navigation, which equips a Ford SYNC-powered touchscreen display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and digital music storage, as well as the Comfort Package which adds heated front seats and side-view mirrors with Pony projection lamps. Shelby additions include an A-pillar-mounted gauge package, GT350-embroidered floor mats, a Shelby short-shift kit, and a serialized console plate identifying this example as CSM143500098.

This GT350 Convertible is equipped with a Whipple-supercharged 5.0L Coyote V8 that produces 624 HP. The rear wheels are driven by a Getrag MT82 6-speed manual transmission, a one-piece driveshaft, and 3.73-geared limited-slip differential. Shelby American has added 6-piston Wilwood front brake calipers, Wilwood brake rotors/pads in the rear, Eibach coilovers, Ford Racing suspension components, a Shelby camber/caster kit, a Watts link rear stabilizer, an aluminum-finished cooling system, and a Borla exhaust. The CARFAX report shows routine service at Ford Country of Henderson, Nevada.

This sale will include a clean title.

    @seller? @AMGMD? Any answers?

  • chizchiz (registered bidder) 1 year, 9 monthsago

@AMGMD, bumping for questions in previous post. Also, I don't see it noted or in any pictures, but do you also have the convertible top cover/boot?

  • chizchiz (registered bidder) 1 year, 9 monthsago

Thanks for the quick responses, love to see a seller like this! Two more while i'm at it... 1) Can you provide date codes on the tires (assume these are still original)? 2) Do you have any of the service records, or do you know if Ford Country of Henderson is willing/able to provide them?

    Thanks!

@Shine thank you for providing such a detailed comment for my listing! I appreciate knowing that there are other owners of these one or a kind machines out there. Cheers!

@chizchiz Yes, probably an old lien, title does not have any brands.

  • chizchiz (registered bidder) 1 year, 9 monthsago

Thank you! Can you also speak to the "Other Title Brand and Specific Event Check" that shows up on the AutoCheck? I don't see anything on the carfax, possibly an old lien?

@chizchiz We have added additional photos showing the minor rock chips on the front bumper. (#134, 135, 136)

I'm having a hard time telling the difference between refelctions and scratches/chips, specficially in the front valance (pics 47, 49, 50). Possible to get better pics or at least a description of where chips are?

Beautiful Shelby! This generation of the GT350 was Carroll Shelby’s last design. Production numbers are as follows. 2011-159, 2012-119, 2013-36 & 2014-87 totaling 401 cars hand built by Shelby American Inc. In Las Vegas. This number #98 is 1 of 3 DI Blue Convertibles produced in 14 and 1 of 1 with the aluminum one piece drive shaft and the black calipers. Just for comparison sake, the Ford owned and mass produced GT500 (which is still awesome btw) turned out 20,549 cars in the same period (11-14). And the total S197 GT500 count from 07-14 is 47,996. So it’s amazing to think that there’s nearly 50,000 GT 500 S197’s
produced versus only 401 Hand Built by SAI GT350 S197’s!
You guys can thank my dog for waking me up at 3 o’clock this morning and not being able to go back to sleep lol.
If you haven’t guessed… I own one of these (#68).
Whoever ends up with this car will likely have a vehicle that no one has ever witnessed before. And from personal experience, most people don’t even know this car exists. I have quite a bit of data on these 11-14 cars. I’d be happy to do my best to answer any questions anyone has regarding this era as well as any statistics needed. I don’t know anything about the seller of this particular vehicle or do I have a vested interest other than I am in this small owners club!
I love having something so unique. In the day and age where you can drop 100 to 150K on a modern sports car and roll into cars and coffee and not even get a second glance, this has been a wonderful car to own! Good luck to all!
