2014 Porsche 991 Carrera 7-Speed PTS Mexico Blue

Up for auction is this beautifully equipped 2014 Porsche 991 Carrera 7-speed built specially by Vorsteiner.  Finished in rare paint to sample Mexico Blue, this stunning 2014 example has been tastefully modified with custom details and Vorsteiner upgrades including a carbon fiber rear diffuser and flow forged wheels.  Commanding an original sticker price of over $116k, this Carrera showcases exclusive factory options including the Sport Chrono Package, the SportDesign Package, Sport exhaust, and PCCB Ceramic Composite Brakes.  Stated to be in pristine condition while showing approximately 18k miles on the odometer, this one of a kind Carrera offers an incredible value.

This Carrera is finished in the iconic paint to sample color of Mexico Blue.  The paint is stated to be in excellent condition with Xpel paint protection film applied over the front bumper, hood, A-pillars, and partial front fenders.  A collection of detailed images is provided in the photo gallery.  This Carrera is factory fitted with clear taillights as well as the SportDesign Package which adds a revised front fascia and rear spoiler.

Exterior modifications include custom vinyl graphics, a windshield skin, Vorsteiner mirror wind deflectors, a Vorsteiner carbon fiber rear diffuser, and 20” Vorsteiner flow forged wheels which are currently wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. The seller confirms that the original set of black painted 20” Carrera S wheels will be included in the sale.

Inside, the driver will immediately notice the SportDesign steering wheel in Alcantara, Porsche crested headrests, instrument dials in white, and seat belts in Racing Yellow.  Shown in some of the gallery photos are a set of GT2 Carbon Bucket seats that can be included for an additional fee.  The car will come with its original factory leather seats installed.  An image of the full build sheet can be found within the photo gallery.  The interior is stated to be in excellent condition with all accessories remaining fully functional.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.4 L flat-six engine rated at 350 HP.  The rear wheels are driven by way of a desirable 7-speed manual transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.4 seconds.  The factory Sport exhaust system offers a pleasing soundtrack while PCCB Ceramic Composite Brakes provide tremendous stopping power.  The optional Sport Chrono package also allows the driver to select between different performance settings.  Reported to be up to date on all due maintenance, this Carrera is being offered in fantastic driving condition.

The sale of this outstanding 991 Carrera will include a set of two keys, original books, service records and a clean Carfax report.  Do not miss out on this unique opportunity to own a 991 Carrera unlike any other.

@SHOOKS I agree, great car, but your GT3 is probably worth more than this car!

@PCARMARKET I enjoy looking at listings on PCARMARKET. This Seller did not meet the standards I normally see for being forthcoming in answering bidder questions. A simple yes/no would have been acceptable regarding the availability of the DME report. It’s always up to the buyer to decide to risk a purchase with outstanding unknowns. However, in this case, it appeared the situation was being manipulated by the seller to elicit bids. This seems below the usual high level PCMARKET ethical practice standards I see in Auction threads. Certainly a lesson learned

@gregryba strong considering seller response and questions pointed out by splizzat. It was an great spec.

  • SHOOKS 1 month, 1 weekago

Super cool car, I will trade you my 2007 GT3 18k miles for it.

I’ve been following Pcarmarket since almost the beginning. You guys are really great and continue to make big strides in becoming a major force within the Porsche world..... This seller was one you could have done without. What seems like a nice car was overshadowed by just a poor seller. I’m sure it won’t be the last time. It comes with the territory.

  • gregryba 1 month, 1 weekago

I don't know about $62k being 'strong'. Wholesale on a Carrera with 18k on it is around $60k. I think we all see this as more than just another Carrera.

  • Sds130 1 month, 1 weekago

@splizaat agreed....its a shame....this car is gorgeous! $62,800 was a strong bid considering. Would have loved to have had all questions answered and made a run at it.

  • splizaat 1 month, 1 weekago

Why didn't you just post a photo of the DME screen rather than a word document that could has the potential to be edited? I want to make sure I'm reading your report correctly...

    Range 1: 838
    Range 2: 154
    Range 3: 74
Range 4: 337 (uhhhh what???? higher than range 2 and 3?)
    Range 5: 0
    Range 6: 0

HOW is there more range 4 ignitions than range 3 and range 2? If that's even possible, I learned something today.

This one was tough to watch...first the confusion on the seats. Then Guntherworks who KNOWS how important a DME overrev report is when selling a Porsche lists it without a report and then with 4 minutes left to go says he will provide it (and doesn't). And to top it off, the description conveniently forgets to mention that the rear bumper has been repainted - which is later disclosed when someone asks in the comments. Cringeworthy...

@9964spd I called the shop this morning. Someone took my info (phone number and email) and promised that the seller would be in touch. Haven’t heard anything. Also, rev report was asked for days ago.....

  • Guntherwerks (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

dme report being pulled now, will update shortly

  • 9964spd 1 month, 1 weekago

@Sds130 If that’s the case, bid, when the car and don’t send any money until you get the DME. In the sellers defense it is a little unfair to ask for a DME at the 11th hour. Just my two cents good luck to all

  • wireless200 1 month, 1 weekago

Can one tell if it's met reserve prior to end of auction? Once reserve is met I may bid but don't want to just run laps if reserve is way above my top bid.

  • MS911 1 month, 1 weekago

@Guntherwerks - was there to be a DME report posted? I would like to bid, however, the DME report is important to review.

  • Guntherwerks (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@raidersfan the seats were a direct bolt on and no modifications were necessary. In fact these seats are an option in Europe for 991 models from Porsche

  • raidersfan 1 month, 2 weeksago

    sweet ride!

Is there any chance you can post the DME and also current pictures of the seats? What issues resulted from mounting the 997 buckets? Any carpet holes that need to be addressed? My understanding is that the 997 buckets were not a direct fit.

  • Guntherwerks (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@Brandon Thank You for pointing this out either way

  • Brandon 1 month, 2 weeksago

@Guntherwerks yeah, I did see that comment that seats can be included. Just thinking as a potential bidder I'd be pretty upset if the copy and images showed the seats but was asked for $5k over my bid to keep them, that's all.

    Beautiful car, GLWA.

  • Guntherwerks (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@Brandon the seat can easily come with the car provided buyer wants to pay for the sport buckets.

  • Brandon 1 month, 2 weeksago

Seat swap from photos and listing copy seems noteworthy. Shown with GT2 carbon buckets and noted in the copy but not included?

  • Guntherwerks (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@saga1113 the GT2 bucket seats will not necessarily be included in sale unless buyer wants to pay an extra $5000. I have reinstalled the factory black leather seats.

  • saga1113 1 month, 2 weeksago

Any more pics of the seats? Looks like CF seatbacks. Are these OEM LWBs?
    Thanks!

  • Guntherwerks (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@dozer yes paint is all factory original except rear bumper which was repainted due to a small hairline scratch.

  • dozer 1 month, 2 weeksago

    Is the paint all original?
