Up for auction is this 2015 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Z06 3LZ finished in Victory Red over a Kalahari leather interior. Representing the final generation of the traditional front-engine Corvette, this high-performance Z06 model showcases an LT4 supercharged V8, 7-speed manual transmission, magnesium frame bucket seats, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, and an electronic limited-slip differential. This C7 was optioned the premium 3LZ Equipment Group and sought-after Z07 Performance Package which adds ceramic brakes, exposed carbon-fiber trim, special suspension tuning, and more aggressive aerodynamics.  This example also comes equipped with upgraded intake and exhaust systems paired with a supporting engine tune.  Originally sold in Canada, this Z06 was imported to the U.S. earlier in 2021 and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Washington with approximately 8k miles showing on the odometer.

This Corvette comes finished in Victory Red and features both body-colored and transparent removable roof panels along with a Z06-specific carbon fiber hood, larger front fender vents, air blades over the rear fender inlets, and larger air vents in the rear fascia. The Z07 Performance Package also includes a larger carbon fiber front splitter with side winglets, carbon fiber rocker extensions, and a larger rear spoiler with an adjustable clear wicker bill.  The seller describes the finish to present very well with the only noted imperfection being a small blemish on the lower front spoiler. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Carbon-ceramic brakes with large red-painted Brembo calipers can be seen through a set of factory 19”/20” Z06 spin-cast aluminum chrome wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires dated from 2019.

Inside, this C7 sports black and Kalahari Nappa leather upholstery with perforated suede seat centers. The 3LZ Equipment Group adds a leather-wrapped upper instrument panel, door trim, and console storage cover along with a suede headliner and sun visors. Additional equipment includes a head-up display, automatic climate control, premium audio system, rearview and front curb-view parking cameras, and an 8″ touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and a performance data/video recorder. The seller notes some separation of the upholstery on the passenger side of the dashboard, a common issue on leather dashboards for C7 generation Corvettes.

Power comes from a supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 engine that generates up to 650 HP and 650 lb.-ft of torque. stock. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 7-speed Tremec TR-6070 manual transmission allowing this Z06 to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3 seconds.  Standard performance features of the Z06 include a sport-tuned SLA-type suspension with Magnetic Ride Control dampers and an electronic limited-slip differential with integrated stability control and Performance Traction Management.  The Z07 Performance Package also equips 394x36mm front and 388x33mm rear carbon ceramic-matrix brake rotors as well as revised suspension tuning with stiffer springs, sway bar bushings, and firmer dampers. This example has been further enhanced with an upgraded AFe cold air intake system, long tube headers, aftermarket exhaust piping, and a supporting engine tune.  CARFAX shows a lifetime of consistent routine maintenance.

This sale will include a set of two keys, the original exhaust, and a clean title. Do not miss your chance to become the next owner of this generously equipped Corvette Z06 with a 7-speed manual transmission.

@Armo - the ceramic brakes visually look to be very solid, as you'd expect on an 8k mile example. I don't see any visual clues to indicate any problems whatsoever, and I do own ceramic brakes on another car in my personal collection.

With regard to the leather separation on the dashboard, I'm afraid I'm not able to provide much context on that issue. I wasn't even aware of it until I shot the first driving video of the car, noticed it when reviewing the video, and went back to look at it. Once you see it, it's noticeable, but more so from the passenger's POV. This issue only affects the high spec 3LT/3LZ cars of course.

I understand there were issues with 2015 to 2018 C7 Z06s overheating when running hard resulting in a reduction of power. Not sure whether any fixes were identified. Do you know if the mods were done to address overheating possibly? Or other fixes applied? Also, wIll this car pass state inspections with the modified exhaust?

Steve - are the ceramic brakes in good shape and what’s your perspective on getting the upholstery on the passenger side of the dashboard repaired?

@Armo - My pleasure, and it was impressive that they were so responsive to a 'non' customer such as myself. I'm always glad to do my part to help answer questions of course, and want people to bid with confidence knowing as much as they can about the car in question.

  • Armo (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@RumbleAuto @stevetheodore - thanks for getting the info on the tune and definitely nice of them to respond.

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Rayzer Automotive did respond to my inquiries and confirmed that they tuned this Z06 in order to maximize usage of the intake and exhaust system modifications. Although I wasn't the customer that ordered the work, I thought it was kind of them to lend me a response and their comment was "amazing what just a few modifications do to wake these up, eh?". Indeed, very well said as this car is ferocious!

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Armo - I'll try to get in touch with them to find out, but my thought is that it was to deal with the completely aftermarket exhaust only. I'll do my best to find out.

  • Armo (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

what tune modifications were done by Rayzer Automotive?
    thanks

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@fwdodgers0630 - yes, the supercharger was standard on the LT4 engine. With regard to the modifications, here is the known rundown.

    Kooks long tube headers
    Kooks X-pipe
    AFE intake system
    Tune by Rayzer Automotive
Paint is paint corrected and ceramic coated

    Thanks for your question.

  • fwdodgers0630 (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Beautiful. Was the supercharger standard factory equipment on this model. Also, please identify any non-factory / aftermarket equipment. Thanks!
