The 2016 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTS was produced exclusively for the US market as a sendoff to Aston Martin’s legacy of naturally aspirated engines. With 100 examples made, and only 20 convertibles, this rare V8 Vantage GTS Roadster comes finished in Silver Blonde with a black convertible soft top over a black leather interior. It is equipped with a 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that is paired with a Sportshift II 7-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, and as a Lux edition, comes with a premium suspension and Bang and Olufsen audio system as standard. Accompanied by a CARFAX report showing regular servicing, this two-owner V8 Vantage GTS Roadster is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 18k miles on the odometer.

This V8 Vantage GTS is finished in Silver Blonde with a black convertible soft top. Details include a bright metal grille, a black front splitter, hood vents, an integrated rear spoiler, fender vent strakes, HID headlines, LED taillights, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides 19” 5-spoke polished alloy wheels dressed in Bridgestone Potenza tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The interior is upholstered in black leather contrasted by white stitching on the seats, center console, and door panels. Details include power-adjustable seats with memory and “Vantage GTS” embroidery, door sill plaques indicating “1 of 100”, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, a reverse-sweep tachometer, aluminum pedals, parking sensors, and a Bang & Olufsen audio system. The seller notes that a dealer addressed a dashboard warning light three years ago after installing a new switch. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.

This V8 Vantage GTS is equipped with a 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that was factory-rated at 430 HP and 361 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Sportshift II 7-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. As a Lux edition, it comes fitted as standard with a more comfortably tuned suspension. Stopping power is provided by black-finished calipers and slotted rotors at each corner.

This sale will include a clean title (lien).

The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for taking a look at this rare one-of-a-kind Roadster. It's one of the last NA Vantage V8s produced. Excellent condition. Well-maintained. I receive compliments on it from onlookers every time it's driven. I've had it for about three and a half years. I have one garage and three vehicles. This one gets the garage. The much more valuable GT3 gets the driveway with a cover and the other more valuable Porsche gets the curb. This reflects how much we have thought about this vehicle! It deserves a new home, preferably a garage, and a driver who wants to have a lot of fun in this superb rare vehicle."

Not trying to talk down on the listing but to confirm the 2016 AM GTS numbers. I am an owner of one and contacted the Aston Martin Heritage Trust to ask about my car. They supplied me with this information:

There were 61 Coupes, 39 of which were manual and 39 Roadsters, 15 of which were manual

There were 39 convertibles, not 20. Splitting hairs, but either way, these are very rare cars and this listing if 1 of 14.

    GLWTA!

Hi @Lew I realized it was a last day request and appreciate you posting the videos (hopefully, Pcar will get them posted in time).
However, buying a car based on pictures alone is risky business. I've done it, but not at this end of the value spectrum. I'm on the east coast so any piece of mind I can get is very appreciated. Thanks

@manuals4ever I am out of town and wouldn’t be able to do that until Monday the last day of the auction. The top is working perfectly. The engine starts right away. And it drives fantastically but I don’t tend to film videos of my cars while I’m driving them. The vehicle is superb and in full operating condition.

  • manuals4ever (registered bidder) 6 monthsago

Please add a cold start, driving, and conv roof open/close video.
    Thanks

Always follow your passion! I had the same F4 "incentive FAM" flight and I made the decision to sign up. I wouldn't change a thing. I still fly privately with a T28B Trojan and an OH58a+ Kiowa helicopter in the hangar.

@F16flyer envious. I had a slot with AL ANG for pilot training but decided to continue with medicine. Incentive ride in F-4 but they were transitions to the 16 so I woulda gone B with the jet. I was flying like a fiend private license at the time. Made the choice I did so as to have the longer term career doing what I loved.

  • F16flyer (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Lew - Yes I was very fortunate to fly the Viper as I ended my career. Thanks for all the jet fuel!

  • Lew (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@F16flyer Thanks for the first bid. You fly the F-16?

@F16flyer I’ve contacted Carfax and asked for the obvious error to be corrected.

  • F16flyer (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

@Lew Thanks for the quick reply, I thought is was unusual to have it serviced back in Troy, MI. Will you contact CarFax to try and straighten this out?

  • Lew (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@F16flyer will. That’s curious!? The car has NEVER been outside of California except for once crossing the Nevada, California state line to go to Tahoe It certainly hasn’t been in the motor shop in Troy Michigan! That appears to be a carfax error.

  • F16flyer (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

The last CarFax entry notes a mileage discrepancy, can you explain this?

  • DRVOFI (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Just as an aside I recently bid on this site and found out that the vehicle did not sell.....however it was NOT listed as 'reserve'....what is Pcarmarkets policy about listing reserve or no reserve...I think it may have changed.

  • Lew (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

Welcome to the auction of this remarkable vehicle. Last of the NA Aston’s! One of a kind! Color is silver blonde in a nod to 007. My apologies that it’s not fitted with a Gatling gun, rocket launcher, rear roadway oil dispenser, and ejection seat. Still, it’s one of the finest Aston’s on the road. Now. Start bidding and let’s see who takes it.
