We are pleased to present this 2016 BMW F87 M2 finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over a Black Dakota leather interior. Introduced at the North American International Auto Show in 2016, the M2 is the high-performance version of BMWs 2-Series, powered by a specially-tuned twin-turbocharged N55 inline-six that produces 365 HP along with suspension and brakes borrowed from the M3/M4. This 2016 example was delivered new to BMW of Silver Spring, Maryland in May of 2016 equipped with Executive Package and the DCT transmission, the only two available options. Remaining part of the original owner's collection in New York, this M2 is now being offered for auction showing under 2k miles on the odometer.
This F87 was specified in Black Sapphire Metallic (475) with high-gloss black Shadowline trim. Exterior equipment includes adaptive xenon headlights, rear Park Distance Control sensors, quad exhaust outlets, body-colored mirror caps, and a matching rear decklid spoiler. The M2 distinguishes itself from a standard 2-Series with widened wheel arches, a model-specific aerodynamic front bumper, revised side skirts, and a rear diffuser. This M2 rides on 19” Black light-alloy BMW Style 437M wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The driver-focused interior is trimmed in Black Dakota leather with contrasting blue stitching and carbon fiber inalys. Amenities include a dash-mounted infotainment screen with navigation, a Harman Kardon audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control, Comfort Access keyless entry, and power-adjustable heated front Sport Seats.
The M2 is powered by a specially-tuned version of the 3.0L twin-turbocharged N55 inline six-cylinder engine, which produces 365 HP and 343 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission and active M electronic limited-slip differential. The DCT-equipped M2 can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in 4.3 seconds and continue to an electronically-governed top speed of 155 MPH. The M2 also receives the suspension and braking systems from the M3/M4 as well as the upgraded pistons from the S55 motor. The CARFAX report shows service completed by Competition BMW of Saint James, New York at 1,626 miles.
