Up for auction is this 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S finished in Magnetite Black Metallic over a Black Nappa Exclusive Leather interior. Offered as a premium version of the Mercedes-AMG GT flagship sports car, the S model comes equipped with a more powerfully tuned V8 Biturbo engine, AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension, an AMG Performance Exhaust System, and an electronically-controlled limited-slip differential. This GT S was sold new at Mercedes-Benz of Atlanta Northeast at an original sticker price of over $144k with optional cross-spoke forged wheels, carbon-fiber accents, a panoramic roof, and an Exclusive Interior Package with Exclusive trim. Now showing approximately 8k miles on the odometer, this AMG GT S is being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.

This 2016 example was ordered in the optional color of Magnetite Black Metallic (183) with chrome-trimmed exhaust tips, fender vents, taillights, front grille, and rear diffuser. Optional details include red-painted brake calipers, a panoramic sunroof, and staggered-size 19”/20” AMG cross-spoke forged wheels finished in Titanium. The finish has been preserved with a layer of clear paint protection film applied over the fowrward half of the hood, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The wheels remain dressed in their original Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

The cabin of this GT is trimmed in black Exclusive Nappa leather, accented by optional gloss carbon-fiber details. Under the hood lies a hand-built 4.0L M178 Biturbo V8 that delivers as much as 515 HP and 494 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch AMG Speedshift automatic transmission and an electronically-controlled limited-slip differential. The AMG GT is the first sports car featuring a “hot inside V” configuration with dry-sump lubrication; both turbochargers mounted inside the cylinder banks to optimize performance and reduce turbo lag. Performance features of the GT S include a dynamic AMG Sport Exhaust, AMG Dynamic Select modes including RACE mode, and an AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension. This GT S is said to be up to date on all maintenance, including a full service completed by Earth Motorcars of Carrollton, Texas in December of 2021.
