This 2016 Porsche 981 Cayman was acquired by the seller as a stock specimen in May 2021, and upgraded with a custom 4.25L flat-six paired with a 7-speed PDK transmission and limited-slip differential. Completed with a custom track-focused build by BGB Motorsports, it was further enhanced with an AP Racing brake kit, a window intake system, Dundon race headers, an MSC 3-way suspension, GT3 lower control arms, extended tie rods, stainless steel brake lines, a Cobb V3 tune, and much more. Finished in White, this example also presents a combination of GT4 and GT2-style exterior upgrades over a custom race-oriented cabin. With a comprehensive build exceeding a total of $250k reported by the seller, this extensively modified Cayman is now being offered for auction out of Washington, showing approximately 67k miles on the odometer.

Finished in White, this example has been customized with a GT4 front bumper, a Designs by Jacob carbon front splitter, GT2-style front fenders, and a Dundon Valkyrie fixed rear wing. Additional details include orange accents along the mirrors and wing, clear ride markers, a custom carbon fiber rear quarter window intake system, front/rear tow hooks, and a lowered ride height. Nickel-plated AP Racing “big brakes” can be seen through the Apex Forged VS-5RS wheels wrapped in Nankang CRSv2 tires. Extended wheel studs are equipped and a set of BBS e88 wheels are said to accompany the sale. The seller notes these tires were mounted in August 2023 and used for one track day. The vehicle has seen track use at Daytona and Sebring International Raceways, and minor signs of road wear are noted. The seller adds that a recent 3-stage cut, buff, and polish paint correction has been performed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The race-oriented cabin houses Recaro Podium carbon bucket seats with 6-point Schroth Racing harnesses. A custom polished roll bar by 425 Motorsports complements the nickel-plated brake calipers, while exposed carbon tubing beneath the hatch follows the quarter panel intake system. The optional Sport Chrono Package and Convenience Package are also equipped. The seller notes the TPSM sensors have been removed from the wheels, causing a dashboard light along with an SRS light on due to the aftermarket seats.

Power has been upgraded with a flat-six engine supplied from a 991.1 Carrera GTS, enlarged to a 4.25-liter displacement by the specialists at BGB Motorsports. A host of custom internals were fitted, along with a Cobb Accessport V3 Custom Pro Tune. A fresh air intake, a remote reservoir for the coilovers. The rear wheels are driven with a new PCNA ZF Engineering PDK transmission with a limited-slip differential, driven approximately 2k miles. Other performance modifications include an upgraded oil heat exchanger, an LN Engineering PDK transmission cooler, and a third radiator. Additional upgrades consist of a 718 GT4 Clubsport PowerKit intake manifold, Dundon Motorsports 981 GT4 Clubsport race headers, Dundon Motorsports GT3 muffler adapter kit for the 981, and Dundon Motorsports Inconel megaphone mini crack pipe. The car also features MCS 3-way suspension, Tarrett Engineering GT3 lower control arms, and E-Motion Engineering Motorsports tie rod ends. An AP Racing by Essex front and rear big brake kit with nickel-plated calipers, Ferodo DS1.11 pads, and stainless steel brake lines has been installed. The seller notes that the brake pads are used and should probably be replaced soon. A list of components provided by the seller is provided below:

The seller would like you to know: “I have multiple references that would be willing to speak with any serious buyer including the owner of BGB Motorsports; Spec German and more. All work was done by professionals; no dollar was spared; the car still has 3-point seat belts to be safe on the road; Please look at the extensive list of brand-new parts on the receipts that were provided.

I purchased a completely stock car from Audi in Florida in May 2021. The car was shipped in an enclosed trailer to Washington, where I enjoyed driving it locally during the summer. In August 2021, I sent the car back to Florida to BGB Motorsports for a custom street/track build. All parts for the build were brand new and sourced directly from Porsche and other manufacturers. The initial build was completed in June 2022, and I had the car shipped back to Seattle. I drove it for two track days and used it mainly for street and weekend driving.

Later, I decided to send the car back to BGB Motorsports in Florida for additional upgrades, including a big brake kit, window intake system, and a new PDK transmission with LSD. BGB installed a new transmission from Germany, an AP Racing brake kit, and a quarter-panel intake system. I drove the car at iconic tracks in Florida, such as Daytona and Sebring, before shipping it back to Seattle in April 2023.

In Seattle, I added Dundon Race Headers, a Mini crack pipe, MCS 3-way suspension, GT3 lower control arms by Tarret Engineering, extended tie rods, a Dundon Valkyrie Wing, and a Design by Jacob front splitter. The Dundon components were installed by Charles Dundon at Dundon Motorsports, and the MCS 3-way suspension was installed by Spec German and fine-tuned by pro driver Ted from Dundon Motorsports. I participated in a few more track days and did a lot of street and weekend driving until the end of the 2023 summer.

Since then, the car has been parked in a climate-controlled detail shop I own, maintained with a battery tender, and started every other week. Recently, my detail shop performed a full 3-stage cut, buff, and polish, followed by a light hydrophobic sealant, in preparation for sale."

    BGB does great work. GLWS

  • TylerHagens (seller) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

@Jrothma EXACTLY! After all of my research I landed on BGB over any of the other shops for this very reason.

  • TylerHagens (seller) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

@majorming No BGB said it is very similar to maintaining a regular 911 engine. It has a COBB Tune that is flashed onto the stock ECU. The map is custom and was done by BGB motorsports.

  • TylerHagens (seller) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

@gfcollins911 Yes! BGB did put it on the dyno. 465 RWHP.

@stevedevinney :) Yes, I told PCAR Market that last night as soon as I saw the post go live. It is BGB! Yes, it is a blast to drive.

  • TylerHagens (seller) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

@Flsupraguy Hello - I didn't have my timing equipment with me I forgot it on my trip from Seattle. I do have some great gopro videos though to compare against other cars on the track if you would like to see. In Florida, I was running 98. Here in WA, I typically run 93 but sometimes I will put in 100 and you can definitely feel the difference. The tune supports anything between 92 and 100 octane.

  • Jrothma (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

    BGB, not BDB.

BGB is a great shop with a ton of experience upgrading the performance of these cars. Great, honest, no BS way of doing business too!

  • slwags10 (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

    What a BEAST!!

  • majorming 3 weeks, 3 daysago

Any reliability issues with the ported engine and build? Is it running a second piggy backed ECU?

  • gfcollins911 (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

Wow! Did BGB or other shop put it on a dyno?

  • stevedevinney 3 weeks, 3 daysago

Typo in the description. I was like “Who is BDB Motorsports?” Ohhhh. BGB. Great shop and super expensive build. Bet it’s a blast to drive.

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

Nice car. What was your Sebring and Daytona lap time? Do you run on 93 or higher?

  • Lrg78pr (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

    That’s nice! GLWS

  • TylerHagens (seller) 3 weeks, 3 daysago
