@RipCity Ahh, I see what you mean. I just went to the garage and looked at it and I can confirm there's no hole or dent on the muffler at all. It's a dark spot.

I agree with your comment on the front spoiler. I'm the most careful driver out there and I never valet my cars, ever. When I purchased the car from the first owner it already had about 80% of the current scratches and I obviously added more, lol. It's really unavoidable since these cars are really low on the front end. These are all light scratches entering in and out of driveways maybe like 1-2 miles per hour.

  • RipCity (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@VOLKS7780, sure, happy to. Yes, on the muffler in roughly the middle there appears to be one or more holes and/or possible signs of impact. I was hoping you’d describe whether these are actually punctures or holes or possibly just dark patches with description better than what I can determine looking at the photos.
I totally agree with you about the underside of the front edge of the splitter asked by @SirMathRocks. Every low-front-end car that’s driven anywhere gets this. It always looks really bad in close-up photos or on a lift, more so than the real-life reality of it. Not only do you not see it, but if you do fix it you’ll just scratch it again very soon. I’ve read occasional comments from enthusiasts who suggest this is about knowing how to drive in a certain, careful manner, which I find ridiculous unless the car is simply not driven…these are unavoidable for any such car that doesn’t have a front-end lift system. Now THAT is a cool feature, especially when paired with GPS memory that automatically lifts the front at known trouble spots. But, otherwise, I’ve been stuck in spots around town where the only way out (most commonly leaving a parking lot onto the street and having to manage the “dip”) is to endure a light scrape. Streets with drainage valleys can be the same. With care, we can all perhaps avoid parking curbs, but not every single example of the angles found in daily driving situations. I know major franchise dealers who’ve commented they spray almost every CPO car for these cosmetics, if not every used car…though this is of course not practical with carbon fiber. Like any fine thing, I suppose :)
Looking forward to your muffler notes, and thanks again, in advance.

@RipCity Can you please be more specific? I don't not see where something is punctured anything in picture 79 & 80. Is this on the muffler?

  • VOKS7780 (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@SirMathRocks I wouldn't necessarily call it banged up. It has scratches only when you look at it from under the car. When car is on the ground you can not see a thing. This is very common on 99.9% of cars that are being used as normal driver cars. My body shop gave me an estimate to sand it down and reapply the clear coat for around $800. It was not a big deal for me so I didn't get it done as I wanted to leave the car as original as possible.

  • RipCity (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Hi @VOKS7780, will you please comment on pix 79 and 80, where there appears to be some sort of impact, puncture, hole or something? Sorry in advance if I’m seeing it incorrectly and I appreciate your clarification. Thank you kindly.

  • SirMathRocks (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

How much does it cost to replace the front splitter. It's pretty banged up.

@docapl No, there was never an aftermarket software installed however, they needed to provide a write up in order for Aston Martin to approve the new software download. Car is completely 100% stock.

  • docapl (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@seller - The service record states that it is possible that aftermarket software in PCM is causing concern. Is there aftermarket software in PCM?

@JFREI Ahhhhhh... but you don't have an "S"! So bid!!

  • JFREI (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

I have a 2015 with 31,000 miles on it, all without issues and only routine maintenance. The leather in the cars is astonishing as is the engine. The frame is very stiff compared to the old DB9s, where you pour feel flex. In the Vanquish there is none. Acceleration including the 80 to 140 range is effortless with the torque and horsepower. As the ultimate expression of the line, this S is a highly desirable car, but I already have one! So you need to bid.

@JDCar599 Hi, the car is currently registered in CA as of August. Car was registered in TX under my corporation as a lease. It is now in my personal name registered and titled in CA. I'm technically the second owner. I hope this helps to clear things up.

  • JDCar599 (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Seller, is the car currently registered in CA? The CarFax is a little confusing. Did you move the car to CA from Texas or did you purchase it a couple of months ago? Thanks.

  • VOKS7780 (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Welcome everyone. I want to thank you all for looking and considering to purchase this beautiful beast. It's my pleasure to introduce such a significant piece of automotive example and to answer any questions you may have.
