Now available for auction is this 2018 BMW F82 M4 Competition finished in Azurite Black Metallic over a Sakhir Orange Merino leather interior. Introduced in 2014 as the successor to the E92 M3, the F82 M4 Coupe occupied the role of the flagship two-door sports car in BMW’s lineup. Models equipped with the optional Competition Package receive further upgrades over a standard M4 including adaptive M suspension, returned Dynamic Stability Control, 20” forged wheels, lightweight sport seats, and a power increase to 444 HP. This 2018 example comes optioned with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, carbon-fiber interior trim, heated seats, and more. Under the care of its second owner, this M4 Competition is now being offered for auction out of New York with just over 6,800 miles showing on the odometer.
This M4 Competition is finished in the rarely seen shade of Azurite Black Metallic (S34) accented by high-gloss black Shadowline trim. The M4 can be differentiated from a standard 4-Series by its revised front and rear bumpers, aerodynamic mirrors, carbon-fiber roof panel, trunk lid spoiler, and quad exhaust tips. The 2018 model received the M4’s first Life Cycle Impulse update including new LED headlights and taillights. This example has been preserved under a full application of clear paint protection film since new and is described to be in excellent condition overall. The only noted imperfection is a slight scuff mark on the passenger front wheel, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This M4 Competition comes equipped with forged 20” BMW Style 666M wheels mounted with original Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Inside, this M4 is appointed with Sakhir Orange Merino full leather upholstery, high-gloss carbon-fiber trim, and an Anthracite headliner. The full leather package extends black leather with Sakhir Orange double stitching to the upper dashboard and door panels. The heated front sport seats feature 10-way power adjustability, 4-way lumbar support, and seatbelts with M tri-color stitching. Driver’s amenities include a BMW Professional Navigation system, a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control, a rearview camera, cruise control with brake function, and Comfort Access keyless entry.
Under the hood, the M4 Competition packs a 3.0L S55 twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine rated at 444 HP and 406 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and an Active M limited-slip differential. From a standstill, the M4 can reach 60 MPH in as little as 4 seconds with an electronically governed top speed of 155 MPH. The Competition Package equips specially tuned springs, dampers, and anti-roll bars as well as revised programming for the electronic differential and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system. The CARFAX report shows a history of service carried out by the original selling BMW dealership and the seller notes oil changes have been carried at the recommended service intervals. The current New York State inspection is due for renewal.

I agree it has attitude an aggressive stance.
I don't know if you were aware, this M4 has an adaptive suspension. Not sure how lowering it could affect the handling...currently it corners like it's glued to the road. https://www.bmw-m.com/en/topics/magazine-article-pool/das-adaptive-m-fahrwerk.html
BobOakfield: If I had one criticism, it would be that your M4 needs to be lowered. All of the cars in my collection are high performance machines that either came to me lowered or I had lowered immediately after purchasing. Your M4 is such an aggressive looking car but it sits kind of high for my taste. Does anyone else agree with me? It is an easy fix with a new set of springs and an alignment.
BobOakfield: Bob, thanks for the additional background. My wife still wants to retire her 09 into our collection and make this her new daily driver (2,000 miles per year). If the bidding stays sane, I will be there at the end. Car would be shipped to our winter home in Boca Raton.
A little history about the car.
The original owner had it built to his specs it was his dream car. He had the invisible film paint protected brand new.
3 months later he was transferred to New York City, apparently close to tears when he had to give the car up.
I purchased the car, it was perfect and still is perfect. Drove it to work only during the Summers, covered and garaged Winters, retired just before the pandemic.
I looked, since the oil was changed last (2 years ago) I only put 600 mi and this was before I retired. There are no problems with this car and it is still under warranty.
Absolutely the finest car I've ever driven. Looks better in person than in the pictures.

@BobOakfield @BobOakfield: I have been looking for this car for my wife. She drives a three pedal 2009 BMW 135i Cab that was heavily massaged and upgraded when new at Renntech. It is so fast it can be scary. The car has 30,000 miles and it is in true like new condition. I think it is time for her to upgrade to am M4. I will be bidding at the end.
@BobOakfield The car is mechanically perfect. The video is when I started the car the first time in about 2 months. It's an engineering masterpiece and the sound system is unparalleled. Really a magnificent car. And it still has the new car smell.
@BarryLe Hi Barry I included the cold start video in the website. It comes with a 4-year 50,000 mile warranty the car originally sold on 3/6/2018.
So yes, the warranty is still in effect.

Very nice color combo. I had an Azurite Black M5. One of my favorite BMW colors. Changes from black to deep blue in light. People mistake it for Carbon Black in photographs, but Azurite is a much better color in person.
I love the car and have taken exquisite care of it however I haven't even had an occasion to drive it for the last year and a half since I retired. Feel free to ask any questions if you have an interest.
