Up for auction is this 2018 Mercedes-Benz R231 SL63 AMG finished in Designo Diamond White Metallic over a Bengal Red/Black Nappa leather interior. Based on the sixth-generation SL R231 chassis, the SL63 AMG was offered as the high-performance model of Mercedes-Benz’s flagship roadster, powered by a hand-built 5.5L twin-turbocharged V8 producing 577 HP. This 2018 example was optioned to an original MSRP of over $171k, including a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound High-End Surround Sound System, a carbon-fiber engine cover, staggered-size AMG cross-spoke forged wheels, the Magic Sky Control variable-tint roof panel, AMG Night Package, the Driver’s Assistance Package, and more. Now showing just over 21k miles on the odometer, this one-owner SL63 AMG is being offered for auction out of Maryland covered under factory warranty.
This SL63 is presented in Designo Diamond White Metallic (799U) with gloss-black exterior trim and black chrome tailpipes included with the AMG Exterior Night Styling Package. The SL63 can be distinguished from a standard SL by its revised front and rear fascias, decklid spoiler, and more aggressive aerodynamic bodywork. This SL sports a panoramic glass retractable hardtop that can be raised or lowered under 25 MPH, and features the optional Magic Sky Control variable-tint roof panel which allows the driver to change the opacity of the glass with the touch of a button. Other exterior details include dynamic LED headlights with automatic high beam functionality, LED taillights, quad exhaust outlets, red-painted AMG brake calipers, and optional black-finished staggered-size AMG cross-spoke forged wheels which measure 19” in the front and 20” in the rear. These wheels come mounted with Continental ContiSportContact SP tires and are fastened with Mercedes locking wheel bolts. The seller describes the exterior to remain in excellent condition overall, noting some minor curb rash on two wheels. Inside, the two-tone Bengal Red and Black Nappa leather upholstery is complemented by Light Aluminum Carbon Design trim and a black microfiber suede headliner. Features include 16-way adjustable heated and ventilated multicontour dynamic front seats with massage functionality, the Airscarf speed-variable neck heating system, an AMG Nappa leather and microsuede Performance steering wheel, a 1,000 watt 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen High-End sound system, soft-close doors, a power wind blocker, and automatic dual-zone climate control. Additional driver amenities include a 7” high-resolution screen with Mercedes COMAND navigation, Bluetooth, Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration, an IWC analog clock, illuminated AMG door sills, AMG-branded floor mats, and an electronic trunk closer with Keyless-GO hands-free access. The optional Driver’s Assistance Package provides DISTRONIC cruise control, active steering, lane change, braking, and blind-spot assist, as well as PRE-SAFE side and rear collision protection.
The SL63 AMG is powered by a handcrafted twin-turbocharged and intercooled M157 5.5L V8, which was factory rated at 577 HP and 664 lb-ft of torque. A 7-speed AMG Speedshift transmission paired with a mechanical limited-slip differential drives the rear wheels, allowing the SL63 AMG to reach 60 MPH in as little as 4 seconds with a top speed of 186 MPH. The SL63 AMG also features a special AMG-calibrated version of Mercedes’ Active Body Control suspension. Annual maintenance has been carried out per the manufacturer's specified intervals including a 10k-mile warranty service in 2019, a 20k-mile warranty service and wheel alignment in 2020, and a recommended A-service in September of 2021.

Realy nice SL. Do you have a reading on how much is left on the brake pads and tires? I assume no brake job has been performed and that the tires are original - correct?

yes - The in-service date on this vehicle (date that the warranty started) was Jan/23/2018. Factory warranty remains in effect until Jan/23/2022 or 50k miles whichever comes first.
