I find it hard to believe that any 992 GT3 Tourings will be delivered to most before 2023!

  • id37833 (registered bidder) 1 monthago

@lamacan thats good to know about the ADM. cause with these crazy prices going on its cheaper to buy a new gt3 then a used one. And maybe the 991.2 are better cars but they sure arent 50k better. If even better at all when these 992 start coming out.

  • mikesosner (seller) 1 monthago

Oh well I guess this means that it’s going to stay in my garage! Thank you all for your interest and bids!

i do think it's partially a market thing and partially a color thing. after sales tax in many states, a $250K car is a $275,000 car, and this isn't a lot of performance for $275,000. at that price, it's an emotional purpose. there are fewer buyers for emotional purchases, fewer buyers in high tax states where the tax threshold makes pricing dramatic, and true collectors are too sophisticated and see through this bubble. most of this pricing increase was a function of 992 GT3 pricing, and additionally anticipation aroundTouring. the $200K plus buyers were hype victims. i placed a 992 GT3 Touring order this week. i've bought a 7 cars from my dealer in 4 years. at first they said existing clients were $50K ADM. and not existing clients were $75K. then 918 buyers were $25K, and they offered me $25K ADM. then another i've only bought one car from offered me $25K ADM to order with them unsolicited. my dealer adjusted down to $20K ADM and told me to take it to get a spot and then renegotiate when it comes in and market corrects. point is, the market is adjusting quickly, and the numbers were seeing aren't based on anything objective. it's people capitalizing on a short term supply shortage. these will be stably at $190-$200 in 9-12 months.

Might very well be a color thing too, not a sudden market dip or correction. Yellow is nice, but nay not be for everyone.

@LloydChristmas $30k is great, it was only a couple of weeks ago it was $50k+ and wasn't this car in the deal tank at $265k? It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it, market is def softening.
    It's a gorgeous car regardless!

Sory, comment below was directed at a comment saying the GT3T market is cooling off. Seems that comment has disappeared.

That's still $33k above list price. Seems about the going rate, no?

@Rushseka I do not have a DME report however I can assure you this car has been driven carefully (NO TRACK) by a Porsche enthusiast with 40+ years experience driving manual transmission cars. Prior to this I owned a GT4 (also no track events) for 4 years with almost 20K miles. The car went through the Porsche Certified Pre Owned process in December 2020 and I have no problem taking your bid with a contingency of a good DME report being provided, should you win the car!

@mikesosner Lovely car - is there a DME/over-rev report? Thanks

@mikesosner I stand corrected and am glad you drove it as much. Again, I have not seen a Touring (or GT3 for that matter) as well spec'ed as yours. I wholeheartedly wish I could afford your car. I am sure I would have been the new owner if so. It is my idea of the ultimate GT3 (I even like it more than a 4.0 RS 997.2 (Blasphemy!)

  • mikesosner (seller) 1 month, 2 weeksago

@tuto13 thank you! Yes car is beautifully specd, however I can’t take credit as I bought it Certified Pre Owned back in the end of 2020! I have actually put on 2,300 of the current 3,100 miles in just those few months!

  • tuto13 1 month, 2 weeksago

Seller spent more time spec'ing this car than driving it. Amazing list of options. GLWA
