Proudly bearing one of Porsche’s most esteemed and historic designations, the 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster features the motorsport-derived chassis and 4.0-liter engine of the GT3 along with a 6-speed GT Sport manual gearbox and unique open-top bodywork. This example is designated 1,634 of 1,948 produced in total and comes finished in Guards Red over a black interior. Options include an extended-range fuel tank, front axle lift system, Bose Surround Sound System, and Chrono Package. Driven less than 800 miles from new, this highly collectible 911 Speedster is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Washington.
The Speedster’s bodyshell is based on the Carrera 4 Cabriolet and incorporates bumpers and side skirts from the GT3 along with its SportDesign mirrors, dual centered tailpipes, and 20” center-locking wheels. Its unique styling is characterized by a short, steeply raked windshield and a signature double-hump rear decklid that conceals the manual convertible top. This Speedster is finished in Guards Red with black stone guard decals, yellow ceramic brake calipers, and Satin Black painted wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The cabin is appointed with black leather and carbon fiber trim as well as lightweight carbon fiber bucket seats with Speedster embroideries on the headrests. A commemorative 70th Anniversary plaque is mounted between the seats and reads the car’s individual production number. Other noteworthy details include lightweight fabric door pulls, green-illuminated instrument dials, and an optional steering column casing in leather. The driver is also provided with two-zone automatic climate control, a front axle lift system, auto-dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor, voice control, Chrono Package, Bose Surround Sound System, and a luggage net in the passenger footwell.
Adapted from the GT3’s 4.0-liter flat-six, the Speedster’s engine features six individual throttle bodies and a revised fuel injection system that provides for up to 503 HP and 347 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed GT Sport manual transmission and a limited-slip differential while stopping power comes from Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB).
This sale will include a set of two keys, the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, and a clean title.
