Up for auction is this 2021 BMW F90 M5 Competition finished in Marina Bay Blue Metallic over a Silverstone Merino full leather interior. Representing the sixth generation of the BMW’s legendary M5 sports sedan, the F90 was the first M5 to use BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system and provides up to 617 HP from its twin-turbocharged V8 engine when equipped with the Competition Package. This 2021 example was delivered new to BMW of Irvine, California, specified with the Driving Assistance Professional Package, the Executive Package, the Competition Package, and more. Showing just over 11k miles on the odometer, this well-optioned F90 M5 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California. 

This M5 was ordered in Marina Bay Blue Metallic (C1K) with extended high-gloss black Shadowline trim, Shadowline headlights, M-Compound red brake calipers, and an exposed carbon-fiber roof panel. Unique M5 features include widened aluminum fenders, revised bumpers, and black-finished quad exhaust tips. The 20” Style 706M M Double-Spoke black wheels come mounted with original Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The seller descrbies the finish to have been preserved under a layer of clear paint protection film, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Silverstone Merino full leather upholstery encompassing the dashboard, center console, door panels, and glove box lid. The 20-way adjustable multifunction seats feature heating, cooling, and massage functions along with illuminated M5 badging in the headrests and M tri-color seatbelts. The dashboard and center console are covered in contrasting black leather, and the headliner is trimmed in Anthracite Alcantara. The M5 Competition is powered by a 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 engine rated at 617 HP and 553 lb.-ft of torque. An 8-speed ZF M-Steptronic automatic transmission with an Active M Differential sends power through BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and offers three driving modes including a sporty rear-wheel-drive option. The Competition model is capable of reaching 60 MPH from a standstill in approximately 3 seconds with an electronically governed top speed of 155 MPH.  Compared to a standard M5, the Competition is also equipped with stiffer engine mounts, firmer springs and dampers, heavy-duty front sway bar mounts, and a thickened rear sway bar. The F90’s M Drive system allows the driver to optimize the vehicle’s driving characteristics with two red buttons on either side of the steering wheel controlling the dynamic dampers, throttle response, transmission modes, and M-Sport exhaust system. The CARFAX report shows maintenance through Sterling BMW of Newport Beach, California, with the last service completed in December of 2021.
