We are pleased to present this 2021 Shelby Super Snake Speedster Widebody finished in Carbonized Gray Metallic with black racing stripes over a black leather interior. In commemoration of Caroll Shelby's 98th birthday, Shelby American released a limited production run of 98 Super Snake Speedsters, an exotic open-top version of the S550 Mustang that evokes the streamlined European roadsters of the 1960s. Under the hood, the Super Snake packs a Whipple-supercharged Coyote V8 generating 825 HP, with new supercharger pulleys, a revised Shelby Extreme cooling system, a specialized tune, a Borla exhaust, and a cooler for the 10-speed automatic transmission. The Super Snake also receives a widebody aerodynamic kit, a Shelby suspension package and Brembo brakes, 20” forged aluminum Shelby wheels, and a Shelby-spec interior upgrade. This particular Speedster, #87/98, is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Missouri showing less than 100 miles on the odometer.

This Super Snake is finished in Carbonized Gray Metallic (M7), with a Shelby American aerodynamic kit including aluminum widebody front fender flares, a Super Snake ram-air hood, optional over-the-top black vinyl racing stripes, Super Snake badging, a unique front fascia featuring Shelby-engineered grilles, brake ducts, and front splitter.  Other details include rocker panel wings, carbon-fiber mirror covers, louvered rear quarter windows, a Shelby taillight panel, a rear spoiler, and a finned rear diffuser with integrated double dual exhaust tips. The four-piece hard tonneau cover is held in place with 4 screws and can be easily removed and stowed in the trunk. Red Brembo brake calipers are tucked behind black two-piece 20” Shelby forged wheels featuring Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and Shelby Performance Racing wheel studs.

The interior is upholstered in black leather with silver contrast stitching, snakeskin pattern seat inserts, and embroidered Super Snake logos in the backrests. The Shelby-upgraded interior package includes a Shelby CSM serial numbered dash plaque, an auxiliary dash-mounted gauge cluster, Super Snake-embroidered floor mats, and Shelby door sill plates. Driver’s amenities consist of dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12” Ford Sync 3 infotainment system with navigation, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera, Intelligent Access with push-button start, and a 9-speaker sound system.

The Super Snake Speedster is powered by a supercharged Coyote 5.0L V8, featuring a polished Whipple supercharger system, revised engine software, high-performance fuel injectors, a performance air intake, a billet throttle body, a performance aluminum heat exchanger, and a Shelby-tuned variable Borla exhaust. As much as 825 HP are sent to the rear wheels via a 10-speed 10R80 automatic transmission with a Shelby transmission cooler, which allows the Super Snake to reach 60 MPH in just 3.5 seconds. Other performance features include the Shelby Extreme cooling system, Shelby performance half-shafts, and the Shelby Performance Track Handling system, which equips Shelby springs and a thicker rear anti-roll bar. Stopping power comes from Shelby-spec Brembo brakes, with 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-pistons in the rear. This Speedster remains under its 3-year, 36k-mile warranty through Shelby.

A new title has been processed and is expected to arrive in the seller's possession within the coming weeks. One of the rarest and most exciting Shelby Mustangs ever built, this Super Snake Speedster is a must-have for any avid car collector.
