Available for auction is this 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake Speedster finished in Shadow Black over a black leather interior. In celebration of Carroll Shelby’s 98th birthday, Shelby American introduced several heavily upgraded Mustang models with limited production runs of 98 examples, including the two-seat Speedster model. With an original price of nearly $140k the Super Snake Speedster comes equipped with a Whipple supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, 20” forged aluminum wheels, Brembo 6-piston front calipers, widened front fenders, serialized CSM badging, and much more. This example, #85 of 98, has been with its original owner from new and is now being offered for auction with the remainder of its 3-year/36,000-mile warranty by its seller out of Virginia while showing approximately 300 miles on the odometer.
To create the Super Snake Speedster, Shelby American removes the rear seats from the Mustang GT and fits a hard top tonneau system with dual speedster humps. This example is finished in Shadow Black with black over-the-top Le Mans striping and is one of less than 25% of Speedsters to have been configured as such according to Shelby American. Details include widened aluminum front fenders, a ram-air hood with functional vents, a more aggressive front fascia with air-managed grills, ducts, and splitters, a rear spoiler, a rear diffuser, a Shelby tail panel, and Super Snake badging. It rides on a set of 20” forged aluminum wheels finished in black and dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The seller notes that the finish is protected by a layer of ceramic coating. The cabin is equipped with heated and ventilated seats upholstered in black leather with Alcantara inserts and Super Snake embroidery on the backrests. A dashboard-mounted serialized plaque shows CSM number 21SS0085. Other details include a dashboard-mounted carbon fiber gauge pod with auxiliary gauges, “Speedster Edition” door sill plates and floor mats, automatic climate control, a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system with navigation.
Power comes from a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine which has been equipped with a Whipple supercharger, the Shelby Extreme cooling system, a billet throttle body, high-performance fuel injectors, and a Borla exhaust system, for a total of 825 HP according to Shelby American. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 10-speed automatic transmission with a limited-slip differential. Additional performance upgrades include performance half shafts rated up to 1,500 HP, a transmission cooler, extended hardened wheel studs, the Ford Performance track handling pack, and Shelby by Brembo 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brakes.
This sale will include the owner’s literature, window sticker, a Shelby American build sheet, and a clean title (lien).

@.Nahpets. @Nahpets absolutely! I don’t think. 6’3 “ person would fit comfortably, but all you do is pop the back cover off from behind the fron seats and back seats at ready to use.

@jmbarba76 Thanks for the questions. The Speedster comes with the widened front end, but not the back. You can have the backend widened at the factory though. Actually, the back seat is not deleted. I will need to correct that on the site. You can remove the cover and use the back seat. As far as the steering wheel is concerned, the controls have some Specific buttons for the speedster to include an exhaust control. Not sure why they would not use a GT350 or 500 specific wheel.
Info above states that the car has widened front fenders. What about the rear fenders? Were they widened as well? Was it ordered with the widebody option? Also mentioned is the removal of the rear seats on the Speedster model but photo #90 sure looks like they are still in there, please confirm. Im really surprised that Shelby didnt upgrade the steering wheel with these "special edition" vehicles. I think they shouldve at least installed a GT350 wheel or a GT500 wheel without the paddles. Just my 2 cents. GLWTA
@artichoke the Super Snake come with a Ford independent rear suspension, reinforced half shafts that will take up to 1500HP, reinforced competition springs and a rear stabilizer by Shelby
