The Vanderhall Carmel GTS is a three-wheeled autocycle roadster hand-built by Vanderhall Motor Works in Provo, Utah. The Carmel is constructed on a lightweight aluminum monocoque chassis and powered by a GM-sourced 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine producing 194 HP mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This garage-kept 2022 example was ordered in Ivory White over Cranberry Red Diamond Stitch leather and is now being offered for auction out of Maryland showing approximately 230 miles on the odometer.
This GTS comes finished in Ivory White and features a black removable cap shade, suicide-style doors for easier entry and egress, LED headlamps and taillights, black roll hoops, a black fuel filler cap, a vented hood, black side mirrors, model insignias along the sides, side-exit sport exhaust pipes, and black-finished Brembo brakes. The 19” Machine-Faced 10-spoke wheels are dressed in Atlas Force tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cockpit is upholstered with Cranberry Red Diamond Stitch leather, an option exclusive to the GTS-variant. The dashboard presents Vanderhall instrumentation, a push-button ignition, a storage compartment, and a set of flick-switch buttons with a Bluetooth sound system, cruise control, traction control, and hazard lights. Equipment includes a wood-rimmed 3-spoke steering wheel, steering column-mounted paddle shifters, heated seats, cup holders, leather door pulls, and a diamond-stitched cap shade liner.
The Carmel GTS is powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC turbocharged inline-four with variable valve timing. A total of 194 HP and 203 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the front wheels through a 6-speed GM6T40 automatic transmission. Performance features include a Formula One-inspired pushrod suspension with uneven-length aluminum control arms, traction control, Brembo brakes, and disc brakes with automatic grade braking. This Carmel GT remains under the coverage of its original manufacturer's warranty. The seller adds that the first oil service was carried out within the first few months of ownership, and a 1-year service was recently carried out.
