Available for auction is an original pair of side skirts from the legendary F1 Alfa Romeo 179 of the 80s driven by Italian driver Bruno Giacomelli.
The Alfa Romeo 179 is a Formula One car that was used by the Alfa Romeo team from 1979 to 1982. The 179 was a beautiful and distinctive car, with its angular lines and striking red and white livery. It remains a fan favorite to this day and is considered one of the most iconic F1 cars of its era. Bruno Giacomelli began his racing career in karting in the early 1970s before moving up to Formula Italia in 1976. He then progressed to Formula 3 and Formula 2, where he enjoyed some success before being signed by the Alfa Romeo team for the 1977 season. In his seven-year Formula One career, Giacomelli drove for Alfa Romeo, McLaren, and Toleman teams.
