It also features Coker Classic whitewall tires, a narrowadjustable axle beam, dropped spindles, adjustable rear spring plates, and a Custom Autosound stereo system. Acquired by the seller from Indiana in 2023, this Beetle is now being offered for auction.

During its restoration process under prior ownership, this Beetle underwent a comprehensive transformation that included stripping the body to its bare metal and refinishing it in the factory color Capri Blue. Noteworthy features include a white canvas sliding sunroof, LED headlights, 3-bar horn grilles, one-piece side windows, “snowflake” taillight lenses, and chrome European-spec bumpers. Modifications include the shaving of fender-mounted turn signals, and overrider bracket holes are present in the front apron and rear fenders. Interior features consist of a banjo-style steering wheel, hand-crank windows, a passenger grab handle, and a Custom Autosound stereo system. All gauges and electronics are reported to be working properly.

The 1.6-liter flat-four engine, reportedly built and installed in 2022, features a Brazilian engine case, dual-port heads, an EMPI carburetor, a Bosch 009 distributor, and a degree pulley. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a split-case 4-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with an aftermarket exhaust system with J-tubes, although the pushrod tube shields are absent. It has undergone a 12-volt electrical conversion, but the wire for the fuel cutoff solenoid remains disconnected. Suspension modifications include a lowered stance achieved through a narrowed adjustable front axle beam, dropped spindles, and adjustable rear spring plates. Braking is handled by four-wheel drum brakes.

    @chrisfromnj @BobD926 @DrT

Yes, the body and chassis match. We have added photos of the tag under the bonnet.

The engine does have JB Weld on the case. We do not know why as we have little documentation on the engine build. It was installed in 2022. It has run with the current set up since the install. We purchased the vehicle as is. We have just added photos of the backside of the engine including the oil cooler.

There are no shocks on the front. There is some travel but not a lot. Some people will do this with narrowed front ends. I personally think the ride is fun and tight. It is stiffer than stock, but not bad.

We have also added photos under the carpeting. Let us know if there are further questions.

I'm wondering why (like chrisfromnj): what's with the gray goop smeared on the engine in pic 134?
is there any front suspension travel or is it lowered to the stops? ride hard much? Thanks.

@chrisfromnj , I echo your questions, especially about the engine tins, goop, and fuel filter poised to drip gas in a bad spot. Thx for the good list.

Seller, beautiful car and look forward to more info.

Wie gehts? Nice looking Beetle, and I apologize for the list of questions.
Do the body and chassis VINs match?
What is the goop (JBWeld?) smeared on the engine case? Why?
I don't see front shock absorbers in the picture gallery - are there any fitted?
Is this an offset oil cooler setup? I see there's no provision for heat as well with that housing, but there's no picture of the rear to see the cooler.
How long has this been run without the appropriate engine tin?
Curious as to why the shiny paint stops at the rear axle and doesn't cover the underside of the luggage shelf.
Are the carpets glued down and can you take pictures of the inside of the pans?
Two fuel filters - why (overlooking the fact that one in the engine compartment is considered a no-go)?
    Dankeshcoen.
