Now available for auction is this early 1973 2.4L 911/51 Air-cooled Porsche engine. Having been recently completely rebuilt and blueprinted by Mirage International, this flat-six engine is said to have been taken out of a 1973 Porsche 911 Hot Rod Project. It is noted to have been in excellent running condition prior to being rebuilt and was serviced only to verify its long term reliability. Today is the day. Good luck. Someone is going home with another great engine build by Jae Lee at Mirage International. One of the bidders inquired about the distributor and wire set. Please see new picture added today. Please take note. This motor is new and has not been run up or started. The fuel injection system worked well with a worn out motor. I did refinish many parts for my preservation project. New muffler and powder coating. Flywheel is included, it will need resurfaced. Engine is ready

@eblais This motor was built back to original stock T for a preservation car. I was finished with the motor when I received the news that the car was not a numbers matching motor to the chassis although early VIN. We decided to go Hot Rod. I also have the original four speed transaxle.

Do you have a compression and leak down results? Was this an S motor or a T? Compression looks low at 7.5 for an S. Thanks

@David757 Zero Miles since rebuilt. The engine was in a street car with over 100K+ miles.
I drove the car before the motor was rebuilt. MFI system worked great when engine was removed for the rebuild.

How many miles are on the engine since rebuild? Was the engine in a street car?
    Thanks

I have no connection to this engine or the seller but I would like to add that Jae Lee is a fantastic mechanic and engine builder. If he built this engine the buyer can rest easy that it was built well.

Hey all you PCAR shoppers, happy holidays. This is a great opportunity to get a working MFI system installed on a complete 2.4L engine built by the Porsche engine builder Jae Lee at Mirage International. I will be around to answer any questions. If I don't have the answer I will ask Jae Lee. Thanks for your interest and good luck with your bidding.
