Available for auction is an authentic Lotus dealership illuminated sign. Originating from Lotus Cars USA, it was purchased new and has been cherished under its current ownership. The impressive sign measures approximately 3 ft. wide. Functioning flawlessly, the sign's internal illumination is energy efficient LEDs powered by 120v circuitry. The sign features the Lotus font and logo, which were utilized from the 1990s until 2021 when they were replaced by a newer, more retro style.

Encased within a sleek aluminum frame, the seller states the sign is in excellent condition. The sign's front plastic face is immaculate, devoid of any cracks or blemishes.

Recognized as a coveted gem among enthusiasts and collectors, Lotus signage is a rarity due to the limited number of dealerships and the fervent following the brand has garnered over the years. Owning this sign is not just an acquisition; it's an investment into the remarkable heritage of Lotus. Don't miss the chance to own a genuine piece of Lotus's captivating journey. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and transactional fees.

@hercon Thank you for your bidding! I had hoped for more activity.... but perhaps the time of year was a factor!
I am happy with the outcome, and think you got a nice deal! I will gather the items for shipping, but will be out of town through early week... but will get it all in process! Thank you again for your bid and purchase offer! Sincerely, Dan A

@herzcon Sorry for the delay! I stopped by the Post Office today and inquired about the shipping cost. They quoted $200 for ground shipping to your postal code. For some reason, they were unable to give specifics about insuring the shipment.
It may be more cost effective to ship through UPS, and I take care of the packaging myself.... to ensure it is packed well!
Let me know if you are still interested. UPS without their packaging charge is $240, and I believe that is insured.

  • DanA (seller) 5 months, 3 weeksago

@herzcon I spoke with a "Packaging Shop" UPS. They Quoted $280 with insurance. That was for UPS ground ship. It would probably be less costly if I package the sign myself with box material from UHAUL and ship it ground through the Post Office.
I would say $80-$100 less, if it runs through the USPS. I will run by the local post office today and inquire, as they don't answer their phones! LOL

@herzcon Sure, I will make a few calls. I know when I bought the two signs, I paid approximately $300. But... they put both on a pallet. I think a large box with foam inside, and a hard laminate on the interior sign face side would be safe. Probably much more reasonable as well.

@DanA Would you be able to get an estimated shipping cost for me. Iowa. 50020
    Thanks

Herzcon I sent a response with a counter price. It is really the lowest I would feel comfortable going. My thought was to possibly put it back through auction at the beginning of the year. Thinking maybe the holidays adversely impacted bidding interest.
If the counter is reasonable to you, I will honor it! I do think the sign should pull $4,500 plus based upon the recent BAT Lotus sign auctions. I have a set of OZ Novas that are new in the box! I thought about putting those out there to see what they bring, but after the lack of bidders with the sign.... I am definitely going to wait on putting them out there. I showed a gentleman a photo of the wheels at the last car show I attended and he had his check book out.... lol.... he offered $10k for them. Unbelievable!

@DanA I have purchased a couple cars on BAT including my lotus. I also bid on the last sign on there but ended up getting one on here. I believe it is on page 5 of the results if you want to check it out

  • DanA (seller) 5 months, 3 weeksago

@herzcon I agree!! Lol. Maybe the wrong time to auction it with the holidays??? I was thinking I would see a bit of bidding toward the end between 3,500-4,000. The $3,000 is very respectable, but a bit less than I really had hoped
“Bidding” would reach… let me reach out to the PCar rep and see what they suggest. I saw two “similar” signs, but not as nice….. reach $4,500 in
BAT auctions, but everything I’ve heard lead me to Pcarmarket….. much better overall customer satisfaction from what I’ve heard.

@DanA That was one of the least exciting auctions I've been a part of. No Lotus enthusiasts out there i guess.

  • DanA (seller) 5 months, 4 weeksago

@herzcon Thank you very much! Yes, The Esprit cars are great driver cars.... I really enjoy them, and will likely always own one.
It looks like the market may finally be recognizing them a bit more, as their values appear to be moving upward a bit!

  • herzcon (registered bidder) 5 months, 4 weeksago

@DanA Very nice. Mine is a well loved black metallic 2000 with 89k miles. Just the most fun cars to drive. Great signs and good luck with the auction

  • DanA (seller) 5 months, 4 weeksago

@herzcon The Esprit under the lift is a 99. The Esprit up on the lift is part 2001 and part 2003! LOL It is the former Rapier Racing Car
that Zack & Charles ran in the Grand Am Series back in 2003. It had a little "mis-hap" and ended up with a new 2003 Chassis...grafted in!

  • herzcon (registered bidder) 5 months, 4 weeksago

@DanA What year is your Esprit?

  • DanA (seller) 6 monthsago

Hi PcarMarket bidders! Good luck to those who bid on my sign! It is a great piece of Lotus Memorabilia!! I had tried for years
to obtain a Dealer Sign through a friend in Georgia, back when the US Distributer was located there. Well, years passed and the Georgia Distribution location relocated out to Michigan. I tried once again to obtain a sign, and the timing was perfect.
Lotus had redesigned its font, under their new ownership, and Lotus allowed me to purchased the last two signs they had in supply. So, this is one of the signs! Of course I am keeping one for my collection. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a message!
