Available for auction is a vintage 1980s Porsche dealership illuminated sign. This authentic sign measures approximately 38" inches in length, and 15” inches in height, with a width of 6” inches. In an effort to preserve the signs originality, the seller elected to keep the original fluorescent lighting and 120v circuitry, which works flawlessly. The sign features the Porsche Crest set on a black and red background and reads "Authorized Sales Service Parts". 
This stunning sign was manufactured by Neon Products, Inc. Lima, Ohio. The sign is made of a plastic reverse silkscreen face with plastic ends. The seller states the sign is in excellent condition, free of any cracks or damage. Don't miss your opportunity to own an authentic piece of Porsche memorabilia to your collection. This is not from the 1980’s. This is a late 1950’s - early 1960’s authentic Porsche dealership sign. I don’t know the seller, but I think he should correct the listing. RM Sotheby’s sold the identical sign for $6,900 a few years ago. Well worth the $5,500 asking price.
The company that made these NPI (Neon Products Inc) made some of the most desirable & beautiful authorized dealership signs before they ceased operations in 1977.
NPI also created art deco type neon clocks and etched glass signs for soda, beer, automotive & other purposes from their facility in Lima, Ohio.

This is an extremely rare hard to find Porsche dealership sign with the original reverse silkscreen face. Don’t be fooled by re-creation signs with reverse printed decals/plastic panel. Printed decals/panels will have a washed out appearance when they’re lit up especially the black turns gray.
