Available for auction is an illuminated Gulf sign from the early 1980’s. The seller states the sign is in very good condition with no major scratches or dents. This sign is date stamped 1982 by the manufacturer, Kolux Polycarb. All other manufacturer stamps, stickers and decals are present and can be viewed in the gallery. The sign measures approximately 35” in width with a depth of 8”. The sign is constructed of an aluminum backing and frame with the iconic Gulf logo molded from polycarbonate acrylic.
The internal sign components are accessed via the sign’s removable face. In an effort to preserve the signs originality, the seller elected to keep the original fluorescent lighting and wiring. The sign is illuminated by fluorescent tubes with 110v circuitry with a two-prong US style plug. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of Gulf automobilia with this near perfect, Gulf sign. Just uploaded a few pics of the internals of the Gulf sign. Literally the first time I’ve opened it up. I’ve never seen one this clean inside considering the age. Other than a few cobwebs it still looks new inside.

@skeetswin Yes, 35" is the widest measurement. Top to bottom is approximately 33". I'll also remove the face this evening and post pics of the internals. Thanks!
Hi. Is the diameter 35" at the widest part (where the G and F bulge out)? Is that measurement on the sign face or the outer edge of the light box? What is the diameter of the sign on the round part of the light box (measured top to bottom)?
