    @AMX Don't understand your question.

  • AMX 10 monthsago

    @dino70089 Why would the seller reply to your question under another username? Especially one that has submitted a bid on this very lot?

    Odd no?

    This is an early 70's Dino Service sign, which is early 70's, panel only...was never lighted in any sort of light box. I also have the same period Servizio Assistenza sign with the same aluminum frame and also not illuminated. The period factory photo I have shows both mounted on an exterior wall of a service center.

    Your listing looks like a nice sign, so not disparaging it any way. Simply pointing out that early 70's were not illuminated.

    Hi

    The sign is most certainly 70’s and I believe early 70’s.
    If it’s mid to late 70’s as you are suggesting then it possibly could be for promotion of the 308 GT 4 Dino.

    Not withstanding this it’s a lovely vintage piece and part of Ferrari history as a lot of the signs were destroyed by dealerships in the 70’s as they were supposedly not for re-sale.
    I guess some have filtered through over the years.

    However, I have a Dino clock that is also illuminated and not for re-sale, so hopefully when you see it listed your input would also be appreciated.

    Early 70's signs were not illuminated. I have a factory photo to prove this. So I guess if this is from the 70's, it must be late 70's.

    Hi folks

    I forgot to mention that the sign was exclusively for Ferrari dealerships in the 70’s and was not for re-sale to the general public and many were destroyed when new signs were sent to dealerships as replacement and updates to new Ferrari models.

    If you check out the images you can see the sticker on the back of the sign attesting to this.
