Available for auction is a striking Gulf sign from the heyday of the brand’s place in racing history. This three-dimensional sign is dated to the 1980s, proof of which is evinced through stamping on the sign, and originated directly from Oklahoma in America’s heartland. This neat piece of automobilia history measures approximately 28" x 25" x 8". This Gulf logo sign is molded in relief and is a very understated but beautiful example of the most iconic iteration of the brand’s logo.



Manufactured in Kokomo, Indiana by Kolux Polycarb, the sign face is made of molded polycarbonate acrylic. Featuring a manufacturer’s stamp on the sign face of “Kolux Polycarb 1984”. This nearly 40-year-old sign is in excellent condition and shows only a light patina consistent with its age. 



The internal sign components are accessed via the sign’s removable face. While the seller preserved the original internal sign electronics, in the interest of safety, the sign was professionally re-wired to a modern US 120V wiring / US-spec plug. In the interest of maximizing originality, the seller chose to retain the sign’s original fluorescent tube illumination. The only thing new is the wiring. The sign will come with a custom wooden crate for safe shipping. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.
