Finished in Biarritz White over a Brown Natural Leather interior, this 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet was sold new in California at an original sticker price of over $102k. It comes factory-equipped with an optional 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, the exterior Aerokit package, chrome 18” Turbo-look wheels, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), heated power seats with Porsche-crested headrests, deviated carpeting, the Dark Wood Package, Advanced Technic Package, Comfort Package, and a three-spoke leather steering wheel. It was purchased by the last owner from Rusnak/Westlake Porsche where it has been maintained for the past 16 years. Accompanied by an extensive service history, including an IMS bearing replacement, this 996 is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 84k miles showing on the odometer.
This 996 is finished in Biarritz White with a black power-operated convertible top. It features the optional Aerokit package, which adds a GT3-style front spoiler, side skirts, and a fixed body-colored rear wing. Other equipment includes Litronic xenon headlights, headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, heated power mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and optional chrome 18” Turbo-look wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller indicates the car was garage-kept and hand-washed under the care of its past owner, and the exterior is in excellent overall condition. The front bumper was previously refinished, and the tires show 2019 production date codes. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report indicating minor damage in 2018.
The cabin is appointed with premium Brown Natural Leather upholstery complemented by deviated black carpets and optional dark burr maple trim pieces. Accessories include heated and power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support and driver memory, Porsche-crested headrests, a wood-trimmed three-spoke leather steering wheel with Tiptronic shift buttons, an onboard computer, automatic climate control, cruise control, a remote central locking system, a HiFi sound system, and a Porsche CR-220 stereo. The seller describes the interior as being in very good condition, with all accessories working properly.
Equipped with VarioCam variable valve timing, the naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 296 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. The car is equipped with speed-sensitive power steering, optional Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and fixed 4-piston brakes with cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller states the car is supported by an extensive dealer service history, including a previous IMS bearing replacement.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, two keys, a tire inflator, service records, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “2001 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet 83,000 miles completely dealer serviced with the car needing nothing, very high optioned car with factory Aerokit, Tiptronic, burlwood accents including three-spoke steering wheel, digital sound, and 18-inch chrome Turbo Twist wheels. The car is like new. IMS was done by Porsche, every record included, any inspection is encouraged. The Carfax shows minor damage, it was a scratch, we have the bill for.”

Seller: I am that older driver. So let's discuss. Currently driving and keeping a 2002 996 Turbo tip. (I am a right leg amputee and cannot drive a manual). If you are really interested in selling, then you can reach me on this site. Would get this car for my girlfriend to drive. But so would I. She is scared of the suped-up Turbo.
@Siberian24 I agree with everything that you're saying this is a special car with the wood and the Comfort package and a Tiptronic it dries very soft it's not a car to go carve canyons, o put the top down and drive with your wife with the AC on, this option list is more for an older Porsche driver or possibly a woman
@TomSesto please contact the car market and they could put the deal together for both parties
This 996 Carrera Cabriolet Tiptronic Aerokit looks good, nice, pretty, blah, blah, blah. The car appears clean, has some "issues".
Issues: Problem, Cabriolet & Tiptronic, lesser extent 3.4. This configuration consistently is less $$ than Coupe/Manual. It is just how it is.
That said, I have a Tip C4S and like it. Is it worth what a Manual sells for - absolutely not. Do I care? No. Get Real. I was surprised that this didn't sell for so close to Reserve $. Porsches are made to be driven, not become some high-return $ investment. It's a car, not a Mona Lisa.
Just my observations and opinion.
YMMV
I am interested at close to that price. What steps do we take now? Please and thanks.
