Featuring wider bodywork than a standard Carrera and a 3.6-liter flat-six engine sending power to all four wheels, this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera 4 Cabriolet is presented in Meteor Grey Metallic over a Black and Stone Grey leather interior. It comes factory-equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, optional heated and power-operated seats, the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, Bose High-End Sound Package, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). This 997 was acquired by the seller out of the previous owner's Porsche collection in 2023 and benefits from a recently replaced battery, new stainless-steel braided brake lines, and a replacement window actuator. Showing approximately 75k miles on the odometer, this Carrera 4 Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Tennessee.

Finished in Meteor Grey Metallic with a Stone Grey power-operated convertible top, this Carrera 4 is equipped with optional bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, heated power mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and silver Porsche-branded brake calipers. It rides on 19” Carrera S “Lobster Claw” wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps and General G-Max RS tires from 2021. This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a tire inflator, a car cover, an OEM Porsche windscreen shade, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This vehicle has been meticulously cared for over the years. It is a joy to drive, but I travel too much and only drive the vehicle on fair weather days. Rain has only touched the vehicle twice in its lifetime. I keep the vehicle on a trickle-charger and covered in my garage."

Was the wider body work an option or added by a previous owner? I know earlier models had a turbo look option or wide body option

Are there any service records other than what little Carfax has listed? Particularly oil changes?

@Brian_Spilner - I just uploaded a few pictures that I snapped of the car's underside. Unfortunately, I can't get a full underbody picture without a lift. Hope these help. Thanks
@KennethNoisewater - Unfortunately there is no backup camera because all equipment is OEM. However, it does have satnav and the upgraded Bose stereo system. There are no rips or tears on the top - I treat it each year with the Porsche convertible top aerosol spray. All buttons and switches work - no issues. Thanks for asking.
@Brian_Spilner - I’m traveling, but will be able to take some underside pics in a few hours. Thanks in advance for your patience.
Does it have a backup camera or parking sensors? Any rips or tears on the canvas top? Any buttons or switches that do not work? Thanks.
Looks like very clean example, any chance you can upload undercarriage photos?
@KennethNoisewater Nope - no IMS issue.
And here is why: "The IMS bearing failure rate for the 2007 Porsche 997.1 is considered very low, with estimates suggesting it is 1% or less.
This improvement followed a design change in mid-2005, where Porsche introduced a larger, improved IMS bearing that significantly reduced failure rates compared to earlier models.
While the 997.1 models produced before March 2005 were more prone to IMS issues, those built after that date, including the 2007 models, are not considered high-risk.
The failure rate for the 997.1 and 997.2 models is reported to be nearly zero, and most experts consider these models nearly bulletproof regarding IMS bearing failure."
@JakeH @JakeHThe engine number on the drivers side of the lower block is M 9 6 / 0 5 6 9 7 0 3 1 9 6. I hope this is what you were looking for. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks !
Has the IMS Bearing been addressed?
