This 2014 example is finished in Onyx Black over Obsidian Black leather upholstery. This DB9 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with approximately 45k miles showing on the odometer.

The DB9 wears aluminum and composite bodywork featuring a vented bonnet, straked fender vents, swan wing doors, and an integrated boot lid spoiler. This example is finished in Onyx Black and rides on 20” split-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels. Other equipment includes xenon headlights, a tungsten front grille, recessed door handles, parking sensors, a rearview camera, dual exhaust outlets, clear taillights, and silver brake calipers. The car rides on Michelin Cup 2 tires from 2023, driven approximately 2k miles. Additionally, the seller notes the front bumper and rear lower diffuser have been repaired and professionally paint-matched. Rated at 510 HP and 457 lb-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 5.9-liter DOHC V12 engine drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed Touchtronic II automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Performance features include a 3-stage Adaptive Damping System (ADS), double-wishbone suspension, and carbon ceramic disc brakes. The seller notes the secondary catalytic converters have been removed, and recent service includes an oil change, a new battery, and a thermostat replacement.

This sale will include a clean title (lien).

Appreciate the offer but hard to justify when a mint condition version with 1/3 the mileage went for the same counteroffer. I was hopeful that'd be were closer.

@aprhyscasgliad - np at all!!! Glad to assist a fellow car enthusiast on a journey to experience an Aston. I guess nobody on this site is an "Aston" guy, or maybe only a few...but I certainly wasn't one. After thoroughly enjoying this specimen, I have become a fan of the car and a fan of the brand. In addition to it's good looks, it sounds amazing, it handles surprisingly well, and overall it definitely scratched the GT itch I had when I bought it.
I wish I could also say something stereotypical - like it has never left me stranded...hahaha...but, it had. Nothing huge, thermostat went out and the car began to overheat. Of course that was on the way to cars and coffee!!! Things like that is nothing foreign to a car enthusiast... and the repair itself was a neat journey.

I don't think it will come as a big shock to anyone that Astons are very expensive cars to maintain. Of course the Aston dealer quoted something absurd like 2k for a thermostat. But after a little wrenching, figuring out, and a quick ebay search I secured the needed thermostat in England for 200. Long story short - the dealer sells the part as a "housing" but you can easily extract the actual thermostat and look for the part number. Thermostat spring going bad on a 10 year old car, is hardly unheard of.
Other than that - no issues at all.
As far as the service back in 2019 and 2020 - keep in mind the Aston since then has 20k more miles, between the two owners since those service visits we have shaken the car down!!! hahaha

@Shiraz21 good to know on your experience. Experience makes me feel like there was some persistent electrical issue that was making them bring it in. If you haven't experienced any electronic issues, that can be common in the db9, then either my assumption was wrong or it was addressed. Have you had any issues with it in your you owning it? Even little things, just curious. As in a used car there are things that are just table stakes most of the time. That doesn't need to be a discouragement to own, just good to know the playing field. Thanks again for being so responsive.

  • Shiraz21 (seller) 1 monthago

@aprhyscasgliad - if you are looking at 2019 to 2020 records, that was before the gentleman I purchased the car from and as such I do not have any background on that, however it does have description of services and they all look very thorough - electrical system checks, differential and oil service, even throttle body cleaning...I haven't had any issues with the car, it's a solid car.

  • ApRhysCasgliad (registered bidder) 1 monthago

@shiraz21 do you have some background on all the service documented in the carfax? There seems to have been multiple rashes of the car repeatedly going into the shop within the same couple months, with only "drivability check". Interestingly enough, both times seems to coincide with a sale in the following months. (Rage quit?). Haha

  • Shiraz21 (seller) 1 monthago

@jano4 - no tune on the car, just the secondary cat delete.

  • Jano4 (registered bidder) 1 monthago

Does the car have a tune? Or was the secondary cat delete done with the stock tune?

Finally got the time to take a few pictures of the surfaces suspected of dings and I didn’t see any…

@Shiraz21 a couple people below mentioned what they think might be dents or dings in the pictures. Can you please confirm if there are any and where? And possibly provide additional photos not in shadows if there are? Thanks a ton in advance

  • Shiraz21 (seller) 1 monthago

@aprhyscasgliad - yes sir! The fleck is heavy!!!

  • ApRhysCasgliad (registered bidder) 1 monthago

I'm assuming the hood pictures is showing off a heavy metallic fleck paint? Or is that significant spotting?

  • Jessannjoh (registered bidder) 1 monthago

In photo #23, is that a dent? Can’t really tell, the trees reflection really distorts the paint

  • Jano4 (registered bidder) 1 monthago

@Shiraz21 - Thanks for the response. I thought the rears looked pushed out more as well, so that makes sense with the spacer and different lugs. Aftermarket ones give you a few more internal threads to allow small spacers.

So to clarify the seats are still original, just a misprint by Pcarmarket? I am still questioning why the embroidered Aston Martin logo on the headrests are black though. Were they dyed/painted black? Little disappointed in that as the original was white like the back-seat logo.

Is there still a dent on the drivers-side rear fender? I believe I see it in photo #55.

Are you able to include some additional exterior shots not taken in a wooded area. Nice photo's but unfortunately makes it difficult to evaluate the paint work.

  • Shiraz21 (seller) 1 monthago

I didnt catch the in comments it states the seats have been replaced - I was simply stating the rears were in like-new condition.

  • Shiraz21 (seller) 1 monthago

@Jano4, hey, sorry a bit late responding to your questions.

I'm able to purchase tires wholesale and that's just what was available at the time of me ordering tires in the needed sizes, no other reason. I figured it was a GT car and I was certainly not going to drive it hard enough to notice any kind of difference.

Under my ownership the seats were not replaced/repaired. I do not know of any replacements. I was just making a comment that the back seats were like new, cause there is so very little space in the back , they never get any real wear...not like people get in and get out of the back all the time...it's a once in an ownership - can you get the kids on the way type of thing...Outside of me applying much needed leather treatments - nothing else was done to the seats (front and back) during my ownership.

Factory secondary cats included in the sale

I do have the original lug nuts...very good eye!!! haha...I was playing around with different wheel setups, spacers, no spacers...right now the back has spacers, the front does not. I believe to accommodate different wheels with spacers we had to use these lug nuts and when the original wheels were returned, the original lug nuts were not with the car and with other cars and bikes to attend to, kind of forgot to return the originals...but I definitely have them...I'll see if I can upload a pic before the auction is over.

Love this DB9 but have a few initial questions. Is there a reason why the front tires are Michelin Cup 2 where the rears are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S? Same brand but seems like an odd mis-match.

Why were the rears seats replaced? The front seats in previous auctions had the AM logo embroidered in white but they now appear to be black, were the front seats also replaced?

Are the original secondary catalytic converters included in the sale?

Do you have the original wheel lug nuts? Again, is the a reason for the black aftermarket replacements that are on it now?
