As part of the iconic W113 “Pagoda” series, this 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SL was cared for by a single family in Colorado until being recently acquired by the selling dealer and has been extensively serviced and sorted. Powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission, it is refinished in white over a black interior. The car comes equipped with a removable hardtop, a new retractable black soft top, refreshed fuel pump and gas tank, new muffler, rebuilt calipers, suspension bushings, updated ignition components, an aftermarket radio, and more. This well-maintained 250SL is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Colorado.

This example was refinished in white under prior ownership and features a removable hardtop and a replacement black soft top, as well as non-standard pinstripes that run the length of the car. Additional details include chrome brightwork that extends from the front grille to the rocker moldings, bumpers, windscreen frame, headlamp surrounds, and driver-side mirror. It rides on factory 14” steel wheels adorned with body-color hubcaps and wrapped in Pirelli P4000 SuperTouring tires. The seller reports that the body is rust-free, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, the cabin is upholstered in black upholstery with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting, complemented by a wood center console. Equipment includes crank windows, an aftermarket Alpine stereo, and a dashboard that houses analog VDO instrumentation, including a clock and temperature controls. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.

Power comes from a 2.5-liter inline-six, which delivers a factory-rated 148 HP and 159 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. The drivetrain has received extensive service under current ownership, including a rebuilt transmission, refreshed fuel pump and gas tank, and replacement muffler. The fuel injection system has been addressed with new lines and injectors, while the ignition system was overhauled with new spark plugs and wires. Braking is facilitated by rebuilt calipers, and the suspension benefits from newly installed bushings.

This sale will include a spare tire, an air pump, a battery charger, a soft tonneau cover, original Becker radio, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “The Colorado car has been owned by one family for its entire life until we acquired it. Properly serviced and sorted. Beautiful driver, 100% rust free, as noted in the pictures of the undercarriage, calipers, transmission, and fuel pumps, all rebuilt. Fantastic driver in very, very good condition, ready to enjoy. Good luck to the bidders and may the best bidder win.”

Dear bidders. This 250sl is an excellent driver that is absolutely rust free and everything works properly including the very difficult and costly to repair center dash air vents and controls. We are an independent Mercedes Benz service shop for some 50 years and know and own several pagodas in our collection. We are aware and were quite reasonable and fair in setting a reasonable valuation. At this point you are all off the mark.
If serious step up your games
    Respectfully. JEDD

@Pebblegreens The original color can sometimes be found on the transmission center support cross member cover. This one appears to be an Arabian gray. The covers are included.

What was the original color of this car?

  • jedd (seller) 4 days, 18 hoursago

The sort top is proper canvas the soft tonneau is vinyl. The clutch was replaced and transmission rebuilt within the last 5 years by the prior owners. It’s quite obvious to see in the underside photos on the lift. The car is presently at an MBZ shop where we took the photos and if any more are needed please let me know. Thanks
