Up for auction is this original painting by Malcolm Fletcher featuring the iconic Martini livery of the Porsche 911 935 with BBS wheels and Good Year tires. The Porsche 935 was introduced in 1976 as the factory racing version of the 911 (930) Turbo. For 1976, endurance racing had two world championships: the 1976 FIA World Championship for Makes for Group 5 special production cars, and the 1976 World Sportscar Championship season for Group 6 prototypes up to 3.0 L. Accordingly, the 935 and the new Porsche 936 were the two-pronged Porsche effort for 1976 which was sponsored by Martini Racing. This framed work of art measures 30" x 40" and was created using acrylic paint on canvas. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.
Born to a family of artists and pilots, Malcolm Fletcher spent his early years moving around Europe where he was exposed to German cars and engineering. Malcolm attended college for graphic design and, over the years, came to restore European automobiles of his own. He would also go on to pursue a career in aviation where he served as an instructor, fire detection pilot, and bush pilot. Malcolm's background and passion clearly shines through his artwork, which is largely influenced by historic German cars and vintage aircraft. Malcolm explains that the Porsche story seems to follow a similar line to his own, "I couldn't find art I liked so I made my own."

@irija I'm not currently doing commissions, just selling some already completed works. There will likely be a few more soon but my interests were focused on Porsche race cars and 356s.
Wonder if I could pay to commission a 40th Jahre Painting?
To all who may be interested, this painting will not need to be framed. I've noticed after the fact that there are no pics showing the sides of the canvas. The painting continues onto the edges of the canvas and really jumps as you wank around it. Best of luck bidding and best of luck to me the artist as I reluctantly sell off my prized Porsche paintings! Cheers Malcolm

Thanks for the wonderful comments! It's hard to let paintings go as they have become my own personal collection over the years but now that it's listed hopefully one lucky bidder will get to enjoy it as much as I have! Cheers Malcolm
Good luck with the auction. Beautiful work:)
I once owned some of this artist’s pieces. They were the pride of my collection. This fellow has considerable talent and this large, imposing piece would display nicely in any Porsche enthusiast’s man cave or garage. John
