Internally designated as the "955," the inaugural Porsche Cayenne debuted in the U.S. market in 2003. Despite initial controversy, it swiftly won over critics with its unique fusion of on-road agility and off-road capabilities. By 2010, it had become Porsche's top-selling model before being succeeded by its successor. This 2004 example comes finished in Crystal Silver Metallic over a Black embossed leather upholstery and is equipped with factory-optional Variable Assist Power Steering, a moonroof, 19” Cayenne Design alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, and the Electric Comfort Package. Showing just over 203k miles on the odometer, this Cayenne S is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its seller out of Georgia.

This Cayenne S is finished in Crystal Silver Metallic and is equipped with bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, a moonroof, and a trailer hitch (without a hitch ball). It rides on black powder-coated 19” Cayenne Design alloy wheels paired with Goodyear Assurance tires, two with around 6k miles and the others with approximately 25k miles. All brushed aluminum trim components have received a 3M Vinyl automotive wrap. The seller addresses minor imperfections with touch-up paint, notably on the passenger side rear upper quarter panel and around the window, where clear coat scratches are visible, and slight thinning is observed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Black embossed leather upholstery and has received upgrades including a new headliner, a Kenwood Receiver with CarPlay compatibility, aftermarket TPMS, a backup camera, tinted windows, and WeatherTech floor liners. The optional Electric Comfort Package includes features like automatic closing assistance for the rear tailgate and enhanced styling elements such as aluminum interior trim. Additional factory features include a moonroof, bi-xenon headlights with washers, thermally insulated glass, and a compass display. The seller notes minor marks from the previous owner’s child safety seats in the back row and mentions the vehicle's history of being garage-kept until 2020, with regular sun protection measures and regular interior maintenance with a leather preserver and 303 Protectant on all plastic and vinyl materials. While the driver seat motor requires attention, all other gauges and electronics are working properly.

Power is derived from a naturally aspirated 4.5L V8 engine, delivering up to 340 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission.  This example also features the optional Variable Assist Power Steering that provides enhanced driving dynamics and control. Recent servicing encompasses the replacement of front suspension components, front brakes, fuel pumps, and a new battery within the last 6 months. Additionally, the Cardan shaft bearing, addressed as a "permanent fix," was replaced around the 200k-mile mark with the European Parts Solution.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for taking the time to look at our Cayenne. We are very proud of the condition of this car and have spent a lot of time and effort to keep its beautiful condition. The concours judges that have awarded us first place in every event are always blown away at how clean and original an SUV with 200K Miles is. Since my daughter uses this car as her daily driver I pay very special attention to making sure it is reliable, dependable and safe. As a "car guy" I enjoy working on these and documenting every time I touch it. Having owned multiple Porsches over the last 30+ years I was and continue to be blown away at how well this SUV performs. I have personally had it on Mountain Roads and driven it on Autocross events and can attest to how firmly planted it is, how responsive it is, how well it stops and the generally "sporty" feel for a heavy SUV. I can also load up the family and use it as a people hauler. If cleanliness and meticulous maintenance from someone who absolutely loves this brand is important to you than this Cayenne will not disappoint. It is a great candidate to continue its journey as a Street Car/Class Concours winner - driver or with some modest investments could be a really cool overland Cayenne. Either way - this thing has a lot of miles left to go and has never given us a minute of trouble since we have owned it.”

Well presented. I wish that I could have bid, but this vehicle is simply too far away for me to justify.
Congrats to both seller and buyer.

Today's the final day for this one....Somebody is going to pick up what is arguably one of the nicest original Cayenne's around...If you are local to ATL and an enthusiast come by and pick it up and see our "collection" which currently includes a beautiful 1980 911 Targa, nice red 75 914, first Gen Boxster set up for Autocross and the 2011 Panamerra S daily driver. If you're not local we are not too far from ATL airport or of course we'd be happy to take great care of it until you pick it up however you choose. Honestly I am going to hate to see this one go - have really enjoyed it. Have a great Friday.

@zzracing Hey, thanks for taking a look at our Cayenne. All of the functions of the driver seat work with the (1) exception of the Fore Up and Down ... this function was working unreliably so we dug into and found that one motor seemed a little worn out....we set it in somewhat a of a netural position adn then disconnected that motor since it has so little impact on the seating position anyway.

  • zzracing (registered bidder) 2 months, 1 weekago

You state: "While the driver seat motor requires attention . . . ." If I read the notes pictured, are you saying that the driver seat powers all functions correctly, except for up and down? In other words, does it power forward and backward, and the tilt of the backrest?

Added a couple more videos that should be online once approved by admin. Also added a few more pics including one that shows the vent temp on the A/C. Also showed my scanner output - No codes on the vehicle. PCM code is standard when the factory stereo is removed - has no impact on anything. No Check Engine Lights - no codes. Thanks.

Hey, thanks for the questions. Does not have heated seats. A/C Works Great - never had any issues with it. If you zoom in closely to the picture of the back seats and look at the drivers side rear seat close to the armrest you can see where the indentations from a car seat caused a slight tear / separation in the leather. It is very difficult to see if you are not looking hard for it. I just mentioned it for full transparency. Thanks

  • 1optimo (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago
