Available for auction is a Ferrari 458 Speciale F136 engine short block. This stunning 4.5L V8 engine had a timing chain fault deeming it unserviceable and is ready for its new life as a showpiece. The seller states all of the internal components are still present. Don't miss your opportunity to own and display one of Ferraris's most iconic and successful engines.
The last naturally aspirated Ferrari V8, the F136 engine found in the 458 Speciale and Aperta is the pinnacle of high-rpm thrills. Noteworthy is the fact that the Speciale’s specific output of almost 136HP per liter ranks it as the most powerful naturally aspirated engine to be put into production. Utilizing the company’s F1 technology is paramount, so much so that the F136 was made in the same factory, using the same machinery and processes used for the F1 team. Revised pistons, connecting rods, aggressive camshafts, optimized crank geometry, and a new carbon fiber manifold were in place. The F136 family created a habit of winning at the International Engine of the Year competition, claiming eight awards.
