Michael Ledwitz was inspired by the vehicle's design and paint scheme, a sentiment he experienced firsthand at Pebble Beach. He sought to encapsulate the power and adrenaline of the moment when this legendary car made history, its lights piercing the darkness as it conquered the track. 
A bit of history about the specific vehicle, Chassis 906-158: It was the second of four long-nose, short-tail fuel-injected 906Es, boasting numerous modifications from the original 906 series. With titanium suspension components, a longer nose for enhanced cooling, and distinct "fatter" front fenders reminiscent of the 906 LH models, this car is a unique gem. Known as "El Tigre" after being repainted in its iconic black and yellow striped livery by owner Ed Hugus, this Porsche achieved glory on South American tracks under Armando Capriles. It triumphed in the Bolivarian Championship in 1967 and returned to Sebring 12 Hours in 1969, making history once more.
"El Tigre" has had several owners over the years but remarkably retains its original engine, magnesium gearbox, titanium suspension components, and most of its bodywork.
